Cole Hauser wants more ‘Yellowstone’ too, especially a spinoff for Rip and Beth
As a devoted fan who has been hooked on “Yellowstone” since its inception, I can’t help but feel like a cowboy lost without his trusty steed as we approach the final chapters of this epic saga. Cole Hauser’s portrayal of Rip Wheeler has been nothing short of mesmerizing, and his chemistry with Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton is like watching two forces of nature collide.
Actor Cole Hauser is eagerly hoping for more roles in “Yellowstone” as the popular Paramount Network show heads towards its finish.
In simpler terms, the actor portraying Rip Wheeler, the “hired gun” character from Taylor Sheridan’s contemporary western series, expressed to People magazine that it would be unfortunate to halt something excellent.
Hauser expressed his conviction that the data presents a clear picture and that America’s voice has been heard, stating this to the media outlet. He further mentioned his anticipation for viewers to enjoy the last six episodes of Season 5, which started airing on Sunday, approximately two years following the show’s midseason finale, and without its main actor, Kevin Costner.
Perhaps there’s more,” Hauser pondered, “or perhaps they were mistaken. If this is the end, though, it’s been quite an extraordinary journey.
Actor known for “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Rogue,” mentioned that as long as Taylor Sheridan continues to write, he’d be keen on revisiting the “Yellowstone” world, reprising his character who he referred to as an “American man who is unflinching, sincere, faithful with firm principles.” Discussions have arisen about prolonging the acclaimed drama’s five-season journey with Hauser and Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton, a beloved duo. However, no formal announcements regarding this extension have been made so far.
Hauser shared with The Hollywood Reporter that there’s potential for further development in the relationship between his character and Reilly’s.
The uncertainty about whether this is wrapping up or continuing leaves us in suspense. Taylor’s work on this project, though, has been exceptional and if it does conclude, so be it. It’s been an incredible experience – one of the best jobs I’ve ever had,” he shared with the media at the show’s premiere event.
Hauser added that when it comes to Rip and Beth, “you can go on forever about these two.”
Regarding them, there are no boundaries or restrictions. If Taylor desires to create something exceptional, I am confident that both Kelly and I would be eager to collaborate on it,” he expressed.
In simpler terms, the first episode of the series’ final season aired last Sunday, following much discussion about the fate of Costner’s character. Since then, several spin-offs have been developed. Last year, two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner, who portrayed Montana rancher John Dutton III, departed from the popular drama due to alleged tensions with Sheridan, script difficulties, and conflicting schedules for his project “Horizon.” Previously, Costner hinted that he intended to stay on the show for seven seasons and might return to the world of the neo-western after the final season concludes.
