Coldplay are set to break a new record as their upcoming tour is reportedly set to earn £1billion.

The group is set to create history by becoming the first UK act to receive that amount following the completion of their series of concerts scheduled for next summer.

coldplay’s most recent album, “Moon Music,” has become the top-selling album from a British artist in the past three years after reaching the top spot on the charts last week.

According to Pollstar’s forecast, the band is expected to surpass the billion-pound mark following their 10-show stint at Wembley Stadium.

According to a source, Coldplay is projected to earn approximately one billion pounds from their Music of the Spheres tour, an astonishing accomplishment. The worldwide interest in their concerts is immense, and they consistently fill up every venue.

Next month, they are expected to achieve another remarkable milestone – selling 10 million tickets for a single tour, significantly surpassing the achievements of any other performer.

Coldplay’s tour has already grossed $1billion which is equivalent to £800million.  

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is the only other tour to have crossed the £1billion pound mark. 

After the lead singer, Chris Martin, jokingly responded to Hoda Kotb’s inquiry about Coldplay’s retirement on NBC’s The Today Show on Tuesday, it occurred subsequently.

In a chat about his latest album, Moon Music, Chris shared how significant a part his kids had in shaping the band’s new release.

In a recent television appearance, the lead singer (age 47) joined his band to discuss and showcase their fresh releases, as well as play some of their popular songs live, straight from New York City.

During the breaks between the songs, American broadcaster Hoda told Chris, “Your new album is actually your tenth one, and people are really looking forward to hearing it!

The hitmaker admitted: ‘Yes, that’s true,’ which earned a shocked gasp from both the hosts and the audience.

Hoda expressed disagreement! She wanted to know the reason behind it since she had just declared her resignation from her co-anchoring position, effective the following year.

Choosing a playful approach, Chris quipped: “Won’t you be retiring around the same time as well?,” this comment left the audience astonished and the hosts breaking into fits of laughter.

In keeping with the humor, he retorted: “It seemed we agreed on venturing into cookie-making business together. Now, are you reconsidering? I’ll disband the partnership just for you.

‘I would never back out,’ responded Hoda, who seemed to enjoy the playful retirement joke.
