The movie Cold Storage begins with a dangerous fungus arriving on Earth from space, creating widespread problems. Robert Quinn and Trini Romano successfully contained the outbreak, or so they thought. Years later, the underground bunker where they fought the fungus has been converted into a regular storage facility. As Travis and Naomi prepare for their overnight shift, they are unaware of the danger that still lurks within.
After a security breach at the bunker, the two investigators start looking into what happened. They quickly realize they’ve stumbled onto something bigger than they expected, and Robert is left with a critical task to complete. Now, they must act fast to stop a dangerous force from being unleashed on the world.
Verdict on Cold Storage
Recap
The film depicts a government attempt to control a dangerous, spreading disease. Initially, they manage to contain it within a storage facility, but the disease inevitably breaks free, triggering a desperate fight for survival.
Best Parts
This movie fully embraces a wild, out-of-control virus outbreak and doesn’t shy away from the mayhem. It focuses on the difficulties of containing the spread rather than completely stopping it, all set against a backdrop of space. The actors clearly had fun with their roles, and it shows! Ultimately, it’s a delightfully chaotic film that doesn’t pull any punches, and adds a layer of mystery with military cover-ups.
Worst Parts
Honestly, the movie relies a bit too much on flashbacks, and they sometimes felt disruptive. Plus, I felt like they zoomed in on the infection spreading way too many times – it just became repetitive and took me out of the story.
Final Thoughts – Cold Storage is an outrageous, chaotic and outlandish horror.
