Hermione Norris, known for her role in Cold Feet, has addressed speculation about a possible reunion of the show’s cast for a new episode or season, letting fans know what the chances are.
The popular comedy drama first aired from 1997 to 2003. After a 13-year break, it returned for another four seasons, running from 2016 to 2020.
The people involved with the show had said it would take a break so the characters could get older. However, in a recent interview with Prima magazine, actress Norris suggested the show might be canceled for good.
We’ve been hearing rumors on Facebook and people have been telling us they think Cold Feet might be returning,” she explained. “But honestly, we’re usually the last to find out about things like that.
“I very much doubt it would come back. If it does, you’d want enough of a gap…”

Although it doesn’t look like the show will be filming new episodes anytime soon, the cast remains close and still considers each other family.
Norris shared that the show was incredibly important to him. He described Cold Feet as a deeply bonding experience, and mentioned that the cast remains close friends even now.
John Thomson is visiting us here in Dorset. Fay Ripley and I filmed DNA Journey together last year, and we’ve got a WhatsApp group to stay in touch, naturally.
Starting this Sunday, the actor appears in the new season of BBC’s Pilgrimage: The Road to Holy Island. The show documents a group of celebrities from various faiths as they travel together.
Norris shared that filming the show made her feel emotionally exposed and sensitive.
She explained that being filmed without preparation felt far more revealing than performing. Normally, she’s directed with specific instructions about her appearance, lines, and positioning – a very controlled environment. This lack of control made her feel anxious and exposed.
Honestly, nobody was trying to show off or get ahead. Everyone just wanted to learn from the whole thing, which was really cool. It was all about getting better, not bragging rights.
You can watch Cold Feet on ITVX. Pilgrimage is back on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer at 9pm on Easter Sunday.
