COGNOMEN is releasing a new shoe called the Football Sabot on May 29th. It’s inspired by a classic football cleat from a well-known sports brand, but redesigned as a slip-on sabot. The shoe keeps the athletic feel of the original cleat while looking like a leather dress shoe.

The design for this shoe was intentionally complex. We envisioned a sophisticated bar owner – someone who wants a shoe with character and refinement, but not one that’s overly flashy. The sabot style itself helps achieve this, offering a relaxed look with a polished finish. The subtle nod to football cleats adds an interesting contrast – a hint of ruggedness balanced by the shoe’s overall leather quality and refined construction.
