Cody Simpson shares heartfelt tribute to girlfriend Emma McKeon following record-breaking performance at Paris Olympics

As a devoted follower of all things sports and celebrity-related, I must say that witnessing Cody Simpson’s heartfelt tribute to his partner Emma McKeon is truly inspiring. Having followed their love story since its inception, it’s incredible to see how they’ve grown together, both personally and professionally.

In simpler terms, Cody Simpson expresses an emotional message honoring his girlfriend, Emma McKeon, who set a new record for the most gold medals won by any Australian athlete during the Paris Olympics.

The 30-year-old’s 4x100m freestyle relay win on the first night in the pool took McKeon to six golds, one ahead of legend Ian Thorpe.

At the age of 27, Simpson – who came very close to participating in the Games himself – used Instagram on Tuesday to applaud Emma’s victory.

In simpler terms, Cody posted a photo featuring him alongside his girlfriend, who was proudly showing off her gold medal, along with her collection of medals from the 2024 Olympic Games, displayed in a glass case.

In the picture, both Cody and his girlfriend, Emma, sported broad grins. Cody donned a white T-shirt and cream trousers, while Emma wore something in the Australian colors of gold and green.

In the description, he expressed his joy over her achievements, stating it was an honor for him to witness her victories.

‘Golden girl. Emma, to have had a seat to watch you compete and complete your Olympic career with such grace and power was a privilege,’ Cody wrote. 

As a lifestyle connoisseur, allow me to express my admiration for you in the most eloquent manner possible. The influence you exude leaves me in awe, and I consider it a privilege to be associated with someone as remarkable as you! I often find myself reaching for greatness, and your presence only serves to fuel this desire. It’s a secret I’ve kept close, but rest assured, my efforts are unrelenting.

Instead, as Cody – who accompanied his partner to Paris to offer her support – excitedly spoke on live TV following her initial major victory at the games.

‘We are all proud of her,’ Simpson said on Nine after Emma’s first gold medal.

“She’ll be remarkably modest concerning her achievement. She won’t boast about it, yet it’s quite remarkable and noteworthy.”

It’s astonishing! She swam exceptionally well this morning, aiming to make it to the finals and stand on the podium.

‘I’m so proud of her for getting that done.’ 

After the conclusion of the Paris Olympics, Emma has collected 14 Olympic medals since 2016. 

McKeon announced her intention to retire after the games ended last week.

In July 2022, the pair publicly confirmed their romantic involvement on Instagram, a move that came three months after they had been quietly dating since April of the same year.

Last year, Emma and Cody celebrated by buying their first home together.

They spent a substantial amount of $1.826 million on a spacious home suitable for a family in the Gold Coast, demonstrating that their high-profile relationship, which blossomed during preparations for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, has grown quite significant.
