COD Censor wants to break the pull-up Guinness record

As a long-time fan of Censor and his incredible journey in Call of Duty esports, I must say that his latest endeavor to break the Guinness World Record for the most pull-ups in 24 hours truly exemplifies his unwavering spirit and determination.

He needs to do more than 8,940 pull-ups in 24 hours.

Doug “Censor” Martin has publicly shared his plans to set a new Guinness World Record for performing the maximum number of pull-ups within a 24-hour period. He’s disclosed the date when he intends to achieve this feat, along with his motivation, through his social media account.

When is Censor breaking the pull-up record?

On September 7, 2024, we will make our attempt. Since it’s all about setting a record for pull-ups in 24 hours, the entire event will be live-streamed on Censor’s Twitch channel throughout the day on September 7th.

The current record is 8,940 pull-ups, so COD Censor should do 372+ per hour; 6+ per minute.

Why does Censor want to break the Guinness record?

In a recent social media post, the streamer who plays Call of Duty shared their motivation – they aim to collect funds for pancreatic cancer research.

I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time now. Censor announced this ambitious plan over a year ago, when he shared his personal struggles and the determination to inspire others not to quit. As part of preparing for this undertaking, he decided to incorporate pull-ups into his live streaming sessions.

Here is how Censor is actually doing pull-ups.

Who is Censor in Call of Duty esports?

2011 saw Doug “Censor” Martin competing in several Major League Gaming (MLG) events, culminating in his victory at the MLG National Championship 2011, representing the team Quantic Nex-TT-hreat.

Afterward, Censor competed for various squads and took part in numerous A- and B-level competitions. Notably, he achieved S-tier triumphs such as winning UMG Nashville 2014 and MLG Columbus Open 2014 with FaZe, as well as securing first place at Call of Duty League 2020 – Week 11 with New York Subliners.

As a fervent admirer, I must say that while Censor is undeniably recognized for his exceptional streaming skills in the Call of Duty realm, it’s essential to note that he hasn’t entirely abandoned competitive gaming, as he occasionally graces us with his presence in esports events.
