Coco Rocha Stuns in Red Gown at amfAR Gala, Sparks Fashion Frenzy at Cannes!
It’s the hottest ticket in town during the Cannes Film Festival.
At the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a luxurious five-star setting, the grandest movie and style icons gathered for the yearly amfAR Cannes Gala on a Thursday evening.
At the glamorous gathering, it was none other than Coco Rocha who stole the show, making an entrance in a vibrant red dress inspired by the East, complete with a cape draped over her shoulders.
The Canadian model, 36, oozed confidence as she posed for a sea of cameras at the lavish event.
In an audacious display, I, as a lifestyle connoisseur, find myself drawn to Russian model Elena Perminova. At an event elsewhere, she dared to push boundaries, testing the ‘no nudity’ rule with her bold fashion choice. Instead of traditional attire, she graced the occasion in a sheer, ethereal white gown that, while maintaining its form, seemed to hint at the natural beauty beneath.
One day prior to the start of the festival, the Cannes Film Festival announced a surprising dress code for its attendees.

At the opening of Amélie Bonnin’s film “Leave One Day,” a set of new guidelines aimed at maintaining decorum were enforced.
According to the guidelines, it’s important to maintain decorum, so no one is allowed to be naked on the red carpet or anywhere else at the festival.
Overly spacious clothing, especially those with long trains, which can obstruct guest movement and create difficulties when arranging theater seating, are not allowed.
At the festival, anyone disregarding the rules will be barred from walking on the red carpet by the greeting squads.
2021’s Cannes Film Festival is happening under the shadow of President Trump’s promise to impose taxes on foreign movies.
Canne, a global meeting point for movie directors, deal makers, and media professionals, is often referred to as the Olympic Games of cinema. Just like the Olympics, it has its own prestigious award, the Palme d’Or, which is presented at the closing ceremony.
As a passionate film enthusiast, I find myself drawn to the vibrant and diverse film scene where creators hailing from all corners of the world gather to exhibit their cinematic masterpieces. Meanwhile, tireless dealmakers burn the midnight oil, negotiating sales for completed films or production packages across various territories.
Trump stirred disbelief in both Hollywood and global cinema circles, as he declared on May 4th, that films produced overseas would be subject to a 100% import tax.

The White House hasn’t made a definitive choice yet. Instead, they’re considering encouragements from the federal government for American filming projects, as opposed to imposing taxes (tariffs).
This year, some of the first-time filmmakers at Cannes are already particularly well-known.
Actresses Kristen Stewart, Scarlett Johansson, and Harris Dickinson have each premiered their first directorial ventures in the Un Certain Regard sidebar category at the Cannes Film Festival.
Multiple seasoned attendees have reappeared at Cannes, among them Tom Cruise (from Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Robert De Niro – who received a special Palme d’Or 49 years following the debut of Taxi Driver in Cannes – and Quentin Tarantino, who honored low-budget Western director George Sherman.
In recent times, it seems that the glamorous event has garnered more focus on the stylish attire of its A-list attendees compared to the lineup of movies shown along the Croisette.
However, fresh guidelines intended to uphold decorum have been enforced during this year’s festival.
As reported by event organizers, this strict decision aims to curb the popular tendency among celebrities to wear revealing “naked dresses” – outfits that expose significantly more than they cover up – at the red carpet events.

According to a Cannes Festival guideline, it’s important to note that displaying nudity is not allowed on the red carpet or any other part of the festival for reasons of decency.
At the festival, those who represent welcoming teams must ensure that only individuals adhering to these rules are granted access to the red carpet.
As a devoted follower, I recognize that the renowned establishment has shifted towards a more formal dress code. Instead of eye-catching outfits, it’s recommended to opt for suits, dinner jackets, or floor-length evening gowns to align with the new conservative style.
In addition to classic little black dresses, evening gowns, formal pantsuits, dressy blouses, and refined sandals (either flats or with heels), are all acceptable attire choices.
It’s uncertain whether French television broadcasters, cautious about showing nudity, might have influenced the adoption of this stricter policy for the first time.
Prominent movie galas, such as the Cannes Film Festival, are broadcast in France by France Television.
