Coachella 2025: Is it Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Green Day and Travis Scott?

As a seasoned concert-goer who has witnessed the evolution of music festivals over the past few decades, I must say that this year’s Coachella lineup is shaping up to be quite a spectacle. The blend of millennial favorites and Coachella hip-hop veterans promises an eclectic mix that will surely appease the diverse crowd that flocks to Indio each year.

The upcoming Coachella 2025 lineup is shaping up, featuring some popular millennials and veteran hip-hop artists from Coachella at the headliner spots.

Discussions suggest that Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, and Green Day might be headliners and major acts in an upcoming event. Neither Goldenvoice nor representatives for these artists have responded to queries about the lineup, but sources like Rolling Stone mention them as probable or confirmed performers.

Initially, Post Malone’s announcement for the “Big Ass Stadium Tour” didn’t include a Los Angeles date, even though it started in Salt Lake City in April. This left room in his schedule for Indio (Coachella Valley). However, he later confirmed that he would be performing at Coachella on two Sunday nights, specifically on April 13th and 20th.

On his recent album “F-1 Trillion”, the artist shifted focus towards country music, and he performed a full country set at Coachella’s counterpart, Stagecoach. However, it’s expected that he’ll return to his collection of hip-hop hits suitable for festivals during this performance.

2020’s Coachella lineup originally included Rapper Scott, but the event was cancelled due to the pandemic. Following the Astroworld incident in 2021 where 10 fans lost their lives during his performance, he did not serve as the headliner for its comeback in 2022. His most recent performance at the festival was back in 2017.

Among the anticipated headliners are punk legends Green Day, who are making their Coachella debut (although their frontman Billie Joe Armstrong performed with The Replacements back in 2014). This year, they’ve been performing at stadiums as part of their tour for their latest album “Saviors.

Lady Gaga, who has been speculated to secure the main act spot, last graced the stage at Coachella in 2017. This past year has seen a blend of triumphs and challenges for Gaga; her movie “Joker: Folie a Deux” faced significant criticism but her performance drew widespread acclaim. On a positive note, her latest single “Disease” evoked the raw energy of her early electro-pop era, which appears to have reconnected with fans eagerly anticipating her new album.

As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, let me reminisce about last year’s grand spectacle that was headlined by none other than Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Dojo Cat. Mark your calendars, fellow music lovers, as Coachella is set to make its triumphant return to the Empire Polo Club from April 11-13, and again on April 18-20! Unfortunately, tickets are no longer available for purchase, but fear not! A waitlist has been opened for those who can’t bear to miss out on this musical extravaganza.
