Co-Stars End Five-Year Romance

Sex/Life co-stars Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi have called it quits after five years of dating.

In 2020, the 39-year-old Australian actor crossed paths with Shahi, who is 45, while filming a steamy Netflix series. They started dating shortly after their meeting on set.

Sources for Page Six told the outlet that Shahi was the one to end the relationship.

When they first got together, Shahi said she was ‘blown away with him.’ 

The first time I encountered Adam, I was genuinely impressed by him. Our encounter took place in the makeup room, and there was an immediate connection between us.

‘We had the exact same taste in music,’ she told People.

We shared a common preference for whiskey and tequila, and I was deeply impressed by him not only as a drinker but also as an individual. What I realized was that I desired even more of his company.

Later, I had the chance to perform alongside him, and let me tell you, sharing a scene with him felt incredibly privileged, Sarah continued.

‘You’re only as good as your scene partner. He’s amazing in the show.’

Previously, I was tied in matrimony with the talented actor Steve Howey, whom I met on the set of Shameless. Our union spanned from 2009 to 2020. Together, we are blessed with three wonderful children: William, now 15 years old, and our delightful twins Violet and Knox, who turned 10 this year.

Demos hasn’t been linked to anyone else publicly. 

The former couple sparked engagement rumors last fall while on a romantic holiday in Italy.

Demos and Shahi were seen walking hand-in-hand near Lake Como, where the American-Iranian actress was wearing a fresh diamond on her wedding ring finger next to the ‘A’ tattoo she displayed upon their relationship start.

It isn’t the first occasion that the enamored pair created a wedding-like atmosphere during their vacation, as it was speculated that Adam intended to propose when he took Sarah to Australia in 2023.

The fortunate twosome scaled the Sydney Harbor Bridge and embraced adorable koalas at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo. This reunion took place following Adam, who starred in Netflix romantic comedy “A Perfect Pairing” with Victoria Justice on the Gold Coast.

Adam revealed to various Australian news sources that he had brought Sarah along to Australia to see his dearest friend, his mother, and all the pals he grew up with.

Previously, he expressed about his relationship with the ex-Dallas Cowboys cheerleader: “I’m delighted to share that I feel fortunate and it’s been wonderful days for me.

Sarah also once said of her now former boyfriend: ‘This man is my f**king soul.

She expressed that feeling entirely and utterly loved is absolutely incredible,” she stated previously. “Moreover, I openly display my affection for him and I’m genuinely proud.

The romance between the actors, which was portrayed off-screen, has lasted longer than the one depicted for their characters Billie and Brad from the Sex/Life show, as Netflix ended production on the original series a year ago.

Sarah has just appeared in the Netflix series titled “Red White & Royal Blue,” whereas Adam is presently involved in the creation of an action-packed Hawaiian lifesaver show called “HI-Rescue.

When Sex/Life began airing its second season, prior to Netflix deciding to end it, Shahi expressed dissatisfaction with the plot of the season and the fact that Demos was not included in it.

This time around, I’m hanging on to it, but I didn’t receive the backing I had during the initial season from the show’s team members.

‘It became a much different thing for me, and I’m not afraid to say that,’ Sarah admitted. 

She went on to admit, “I found the subject matter challenging.” Later, she confessed, “It reminded me of the initial season – not that I’ll ever work for Netflix again after this, but honestly, it’s the truth. I couldn’t hide my feelings.

‘And it was definitely a challenge,’ she added.
