As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in navigating life’s ebbs and flows, I can say that Alisyn Camerota’s story is one that resonates deeply. Losing a loved one, especially a partner of 22 years, is an unimaginable pain that I pray no one has to endure.

A CNN anchor says her husband of 22 years has died of pancreatic cancer.

Alisyn Camerota, aged 58, revealed some deeply emotional and private information on Friday, as she disclosed that her husband, Tim Lewis, had tragically succumbed to a two-year fight against pancreatic cancer.

On July 27, the husband of the broadcast journalist died, a sad event happening mere months prior to their intended twentieth-third wedding anniversary.

On Instagram, Camerota posted a heartfelt message: ‘I’m deeply saddened to announce that my remarkable husband Tim has passed away on July 27th. He battled bravely for two years after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.’

Her post continued by outlining the brave fight her husband waged since receiving his diagnosis two years back.

‘The post states that it’s hard to picture anyone handling a crushing diagnosis with more wit, modesty, and courage than Tim.’

The pair, who are both 58 years old, have three children collectively; the twins, Alessandra and Francesca, aged 19, and their son, Nathaniel, who is 17.

She admitted that both she and the children are still figuring things out, but they’ve been greatly inspired by Tim’s strength and resilience. They’re eager to embody these same qualities in their own lives.

Lewis, hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, frequently revisited his hometown to cheer on his cherished Kansas City Chiefs alongside his old high school companions, reminiscing about their youthful tales of playing Dungeons & Dragons, Risk, and endless taco nights, is how Lewis’s obituary is written.

Lewis completed his education at Yale University, being part of the esteemed a cappella choir, the Spizzwinks. Later in life, he continued his studies at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Afterward, he spent a considerable time with a prosperous run in private equity and business consulting, working at diverse establishments such as The Keystone Group, CRG Partners, and Atlantic Street Capital. Eventually, he moved to Southfield Capital, where he remained as a partner for close to a decade.

However, his dedication was most evident in his unwavering commitment to his family, as they held the utmost importance in his life, with Alisyn and their three kids being at the pinnacle of his concerns.

His post further stated that he was an exceptional dad, spouse, companion, and inspiration for all, leaving us with the challenge of emulating his path.

Additionally, she acknowledged her spouse’s commitment towards the community and those surrounding him. In fact, Lewis had begun his philanthropic journey during his high school years, continually contributing to various educational and scholarship programs over his lifetime, so that other children could benefit from the same opportunities he and his own kids enjoyed.

To honor her husband, the CNN anchor set up and is receiving donations for ‘The Tim Lewis Foundation’, aiming to aid those battling the particularly difficult diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, and support other affected families.

Camerota concluded her message by expressing her profound gratitude for having experienced such a profound, dedicated, affectionate relationship during our shared time.

‘I plan to write more in the coming days and to be back at work in the next few weeks. Thank you all for your love and letters, trays of lasagna, and the many, many gestures of kindness. I am grateful.’

Camerota joined CNN in 2014 after a lengthy tenure with Fox News.
