Clueless the Musical: First exclusive look at the cast shining on stage

Three decades since we initially met Cher Horowitz and her famous yellow checked outfit in the film “Clueless“, this beloved story is making its way to London’s West End as a brand-new musical adaptation – and here are the first sneak peeks at the cast rehearsing on stage!

In the stage adaptation, Emma Flynn takes on the role of Cher, Keelan McAuley plays Josh, Chyna-Rose Frederick embodies Dionne, Romona Lewis-Malley portrays Tai, and Rabi Kondé assumes the character of Murray.

In these images, all the elements one would expect from a musical adaptation of “Clueless” are present, including the iconic ’90s fashion styles. So, put on those reversible Kangol hats, everyone!

Amy Heckerling, the creator of the original, has penned the script for the upcoming series, expressing her immense enthusiasm by saying, “I am beyond excited… I’m smitten with the exceptional new talent we’ve been collaborating with. I can hardly wait for viewers to be captivated by their singing, dancing, their heartfelt emotions, and humor.

There’s no better way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ‘Clueless’ movie this year than by spreading the joy and humor of Cher’s universe, for both long-time fans and those just joining in!

As a music enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this captivating tune is masterfully crafted by KT Tunstall, the brilliant mind behind the hit “Suddenly I See.” Notably, her partner in creating these lyrics is Glenn Slater, a Grammy-winning genius who has also penned the words for the acclaimed musicals “Sister Act” and “School of Rock.

This production is strongly inspired by a classic film we’ve adored for years, and if you’re among the Bettys and Baldwins, don’t miss it! It’s running at the Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End until 27 September – you can reserve your seats here.
