Clueless Heartthrob Unrecognisable 30 Years On
30 years on from the legendary screen appearance of the high-school comedy “Clueless“, its star Justin Walker has undergone quite a transformation that might leave you scratching your head. As a lifestyle expert, I can attest to this fact – he no longer resembles the charming and witty Cher Horowitz sidekick we all adored back then.
In the 1995 film, loosely adapted from Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma, the actor portrayed Christian Stovitz, who was the focus of Cher Horowitz’s (played by Alicia Silverstone) affection.
After Christian displayed no signs of being interested in his classmate, even though she made several attempts to attract him, it became clear that he identified as gay.
Although stars such as Paul Rudd and the late Brittany Murphy gained even greater fame after the success of that now-cult movie, actor Justin fell out of the public eye.
After leaving acting in 2005, he has since grown out his hair into a salt-and-pepper style, no longer sporting the 90s curls he was known for.
Before gaining wider recognition, he had his most significant acting role in “Clueless”. Later, he made appearances in an episode of Pamela Anderson’s show, V.I.P., as well as starred in a commercial for Pizza Hut.

Afterward, he managed Teddy Teadle’s Grill in California, and subsequently, he established a website for fantasy sports betting.
This past month, the iconic film transformed into a musical, marking Scots singer KT Tunstall’s first appearance on the West End stage. She penned the music score for this production.
Known primarily for her 2004 platinum-selling album “Eye to the Telescope,” Tunstall initially ventured into musical theater with “Clueless.
Yet, despite the fact that she’s mostly known for performing rock and pop in various global venues throughout her career, she mentioned that it was her classical training that became particularly relevant during her work on Clueless.
Tunstall found collaborating on the musical a challenging yet educational experience, as she strived to bring the director’s creative ideas to life.
She shared with Hello magazine, “At times, you weave arguments or insights into the storyline, which can be challenging.
The extensive music education I received during my childhood has proven incredibly valuable now, since I can decipher sheet music and create string arrangements among other things.
Even though the main characters are played by younger actors like Emma Flynn as Cher, the music in this production echoes the popular tunes from the ’90s that would have dominated the airwaves during the movie’s premiere.

Tunstall expressed: ‘My concept was to honor the fantastic chart-toppers from the 90s, so each tune in the musical will evoke memories of iconic 90s hits such as those by N*SYNC, Radiohead, Green Day, Vanessa Carlton, or Hanson.’
And 2025 isn’t only an important year because of her involvement in Clueless.
Tunstall is also due to turn 50 this year and plans to mark the milestone birthday with a concert.
She shared that she’d never performed as a headliner at the Royal Albert Hall, but since her 50th birthday was on June 23rd, she had always dreamed of playing an anniversary show there on her special day. Remarkably, this wish came to fruition.
‘It’s a really special time and I am really excited about it.’
She’s also keeping busy with an altogether different kind of project.
She mentioned that she’s currently working on a book, which serves as her memoir up until now. She’s narrating her life story in a song-like format, with this section being the bridge – an unpredictable part of the tale.
It’s as if I’m completely unsure of the upcoming events, but I’m absolutely thrilled about the uncertainty.
