Closer Look at Alex Moss NY’s Iced-Out ‘SSS4U’ and Nokia Phone Chain For Drake
Summary
- Drake collaborated with Alex Moss to create an “SSS” wallet chain totaling over 100 carats of VVS diamonds and gems
- The collection also includes a diamond-covered, life-size Nokia phone keychain (54.5 ct VVS diamonds)
- Drake gifted a matching all-white diamond “SSS” set to Partynextdoor.
Drake teamed up with jeweler Alex Moss for a collection of new items, which they launched to mark the release of their latest collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, titled “Some Sexy Songs 4 U”.
For TopMob’s privileged inspection, Drake and Moss unveiled an extraordinary “SSS” wallet chain collection that transcends conventional pendants. This distinctive line converts renowned logos into wearable art, meticulously crafted with a stunning assortment of VVS diamonds and precious stones. The focal point of the set is a versatile wallet chain, comprising three “S” designs, each carrying profound significance to Drake. The Superman “S” sparkles with 34.64 carats of VVS blue and yellow diamonds, highlighted by red rubies, while the Starter “S” gleams with 35.92 carats of D-F VVS white diamonds and VVS blue diamonds and the Saskatchewan Roughriders “S” showcases 31.54 carats of D-F VVS white, VVS green, and VVS black diamonds, honoring the Canadian football team. Drake presented a matching all-white diamond version of the “SSS” collection to PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Alex Moss additionally crafted a versatile double infinity loop chain, specifically tailored for the three interconnected “S” components. The chain effortlessly binds these pieces together, while OVO Owl emblems function as clasps on either end, permitting easy belt loop connection.
Remarkably, this wallet chain is convertible and can be altered into a conventional chain by fastening the clips together as a clasp.
Accompanying this opulent collection is a full-sized Nokia phone keychain, another creation of Alex Moss. Adorned with an astounding 54.5 carats of D-F VVS white diamonds, this accessory showcases a three-dimensional homepage. It not only complements the “SSS” ensemble but also pays tribute to Drake’s popular song “Nokia,” complete with its own custom OVO Owl clip.
In an exclusive quote to TopMob, Alex Moss shared the creative process behind these pieces,
“The project took around 4 months to complete .
The conversation occurred when his album, the one that was about to be released, was under preparation. We had been pondering over this concept for quite a while.
Drake’s concept for the accessory was to break away from traditional chains and introduce wallet chains. These items are versatile, designed to be worn individually as a necklace, or rearranged according to preference.
I came up with the concept of the Nokia phone to serve as an accessory for the collection. Adin Ross contacted me, expressing his desire to give Drake a present in celebration of his latest album release. I believed a giant, water-filled Nokia keychain would make an ideal gift.
The owl clips are custom and designed by me to give a total custom feel for this project.”
