Clock Tower: Rewind Late October Release Date Confirmed
As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for horror games that have stood the test of time, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming release of Clock Tower: Rewind! Having grown up in the ’90s and experiencing the original on the SNES, I fondly remember the chilling atmospheres and heart-pounding chase sequences that made it a cult classic.
Clock Tower: Rewind, a collaboration between Limited Run Games and developer WayForward, is set to release towards the end of October, perfectly timed for the chilling Halloween season.
The reimagined English adaptation of the Japanese horror game initially launched for the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1995, titled Clock Tower: Rewind, retains the original graphics, sound, and gameplay, while introducing a ‘Rewind’ mode featuring additional content and enhancements for player convenience.
In addition to the existing features, you’ll find some exciting new elements such as an engaging animated opening sequence, captivating songs sung by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (from Silent Hill) and Emi Evens (from NieR), as well as narrated motion comic scenes, a rewind option for easier navigation, save points, a built-in music player, an art collection, and additional bonus content to enhance your experience.
On October 29th in the western world (and October 31st in Japan), you’ll have the opportunity to outrun the Scissorman and break free from the Barrows Family mansion when Clock Tower: Rewind is released for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
