Clint Rice’s MAFS Audition Leak: ‘She Wanted Me to Pay Rent!’

Clint Rice’s application video for Married At First Sight has surfaced online, exposing an issue he often encounters in the dating scene – attracting gold diggers.

In a recently unveiled video, the 43-year-old professional golfer and businessman openly acknowledged that wealth has posed a significant challenge in his romantic relationships.

Whenever I casually mention that I own a Porsche, have a house, and recently sold my company for a substantial amount, it seems like potential admirers can’t help but take notice and quickly show interest.

‘It’s challenging,’ Clint admitted.

The reality TV personality shared a story about a pleasant young woman he encountered at a PGA reunion gathering, where she was working as a server.

He mentioned that on our third date, she shared a tough situation with me where she was struggling to pay her rent and inquired if I could assist with the payment.

Clint went on to say that it wasn’t ‘just a week.’ She had asked him to pay for the whole month.

The experience prompted the star to ask himself: ‘How can I navigate through this?’

As I delved deeper into the video, Clint shared his secret of seeking someone who embodies spontaneity, is always ready with lively conversations, and above all, cherishes having a good time.

Nevertheless, the ex-athlete pointed out another minor hurdle he encountered while searching for his soulmate.

He confessed that he might lean towards being overly meticulous, and further explained that he’d experienced wonderful dates where he connected deeply with a woman, but later felt uncomfortable when he noticed her third tooth from the back was slightly misaligned.

In a moment of humility, the star labeled himself as ‘not too bright’ or ‘not so smart.’ He confessed that his self-proclaimed fussiness wasn’t something he felt good about.

‘It definitely eliminates your options,’ he shared. ‘Especially in Launceston.’

A few weeks back, I found myself quite surprised when my on-screen spouse, Lauren Hall, shared her audition video with me.

In the clip, Lauren revealed she was looking for a man who was ‘established.’

She mentioned that they must own a home or multiple properties, and they should possess the financial means to travel to Europe.

In a straightforward manner, the 37-year-old stated: ‘If I were paired with someone who hadn’t achieved much, I might develop strong dislike towards them.’

On a Wednesday, the groom from Married at First Sight shared his thoughts in an exclusive chat with Daily Mail Australia, discussing possible reasons why he and his partner, Lauren, seemed to be absent from the show.

Although Clint and Lauren’s relationship was relatively steady throughout the show, he thinks their stability resulted in less screen time being devoted to them.

He mentioned that he believed there wasn’t much conflict between him and Lauren, and it was intriguing for him to observe how other couples faced ongoing problems instead.

In simple terms, we had a great rapport. For approximately three to four weeks, we cohabited, and whenever problems surfaced, we would discuss them privately, often over several margaritas or two glasses of red wine.

Clint suggests that by steering clear of drama during dinner parties, they may not have been lively or interesting enough for the producers to give them significant screen time on a larger scale.

At a dinner gathering, we had no intention of backstabbing one another or causing trouble. Instead, our goal was simply to attend, appreciate the camaraderie, and engage in stimulating discussions.
