Legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood wants to set the record straight.
The 95-year-old film legend conversed with Deadline regarding articles about him, particularly an ‘interview’ published in Kurier, a newspaper written in the German language of Austria.
Clint clarified to Deadline that the alleged interview with Kurier was non-existent, stating that the piece they released was entirely fabricated.
Clint stated to Deadline that a few pieces of information about him have appeared in the news lately. He wanted to clarify some points. Firstly, he indeed celebrated his 95th birthday. Secondly, he never granted an interview to the Austrian newspaper Kurier or any other writer over the past few weeks. Lastly, he confirmed that the interview that’s circulating is completely fabricated.
95-year-old Clint, mentioned by Kurier in a fictional interview, expressed his thoughts as follows: ‘We’re living in an age of remakes and franchises. I’ve made sequels three times over, but I’ve lost interest in that for quite some time now. My belief is: either do something fresh or stay put.’

Clint’s career has spanned decades, with his first movie role in Revenge of the Creature in 1955.
Throughout his career, he was the leading actor in some of the most memorable films such as “Man with No Name,” “For A Few Dollars More,” “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” “Dirty Harry,” “High Plains Drifter,” “The Outlaw Josey Wales” and “Escape From Alcatraz” – to mention a few notable ones.
In addition to his roles, Clint has directed several films such as Pale Rider, Unforgiven, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino, Flags of Our Fathers, and many others.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ve had the privilege of not just acting in timeless classics like “Pale Rider,” “Unforgiven,” “Million Dollar Baby,” and “Gran Torino,” but also stepping behind the camera as a director. These roles have been an integral part of my journey in the world of entertainment.
In November 2024, the latest film project of his, titled “Juror No. 2,” that he directed, hit the screens featuring Nicholas Hoult, J.K. Simmons, and Toni Collette in the lead roles.
The last film he appeared in (which he also directed) was Cry Macho in 2021.
Clint’s son Scott Eastwood spoke out about his father recently.
Recently, a 39-year-old actor, strikingly similar to his father, was inquired by People about his father’s health, almost a year after the tragic passing of Christina Sandera, his father’s long-term partner for ten years, who was 61 and succumbed to a heart attack.

Scott mentioned he was ‘feeling well’ and added that ‘he’s resilient, tough-minded,’ implying that his father rarely complains.
Born during the Great Depression, he grew up through the tumultuous period of World War II. His life bore witness to much hardship.
Last year, Scott told People some advice his dad Clint told him in regards to his acting career.
‘Follow your gut,’ he said.
