Clint Eastwood, 94, is ‘doing OK’ following the death of his longtime partner Christina Sandera at age 61

I’m utterly devastated, a broken hearted admirer here, as I share the news that my cherished icon, the legendary 94-year-old filmmaker, has lost his beloved partner of ten years. The world dims a little today, as she left us on July 18th.

Inquired about how they are managing following their heartrending ordeal, Clint’s son, Scott Eastwood, informed E! News that everyone is doing well.

Asked about his father, the 1992’actor added: ‘He is doing OK. Thank you for asking.’

Last month, Sandera’s death certificate revealed she was killed by cardiac arrhythmia, which causes the heart’s rhythm to become too slow, rapid or irregular,  a representative from the Monterey County Health Department confirmed.

Her death was attributed to atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries, as well as other contributing factors.

As someone who has struggled with high cholesterol levels for several years, I can attest to the importance of understanding atherosclerosis. This condition, which occurs when deposits of fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances accumulate in artery walls, is a silent but dangerous threat. I’ve seen firsthand how it can cause blood vessels to harden and narrow, restricting blood flow around the body. This can lead to a host of health problems, from chest pain and shortness of breath to more serious conditions like heart attacks and strokes. It’s crucial for everyone, especially those with a family history of high cholesterol or heart disease, to be aware of this condition and take steps to prevent it through healthy diet, regular exercise, and regular check-ups with their doctor.

If plaques burst, they create a blood clot that may obstruct blood flow more severely, potentially leading to a heart attack or stroke.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, the Academy Award recipient expressed that Christina was a wonderful, thoughtful individual. He added that he would deeply miss her.

A representative from Warner Bros has stated that they won’t provide any additional details about Christina’s passing, as Clint prefers to mourn in private.

They started dating in 2014, having met when he encountered Christina while she worked as a hostess at Clint’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

At the 2015 Academy Awards, they first walked the red carpet together. Although they generally kept their lives private, Christina often accompanied Clint as his guest on red carpet occasions.

In addition, she had a strong bond with his extensive family, and in 2018, she attended the premiere of his movie “The Muse” alongside three of his eight children, his grandchild, and his former spouse, Margaret Johnson.
