Claudia Winkleman’s upcoming talk show set is said to resemble the atmosphere of the castle from The Traitors, aiming for a glamorous, exclusive club feel.
Claudia Winkleman has become increasingly popular, particularly after hosting the hit show The Traitors starting in 2022. However, she surprised many last year when she announced she was leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
Claudia won’t be off British television for long – she’s starting a new chat show featuring celebrities.
Starting in Spring 2026, BBC One will air “The Claudia Winkleman Show” on Friday nights. Hosted by the popular star of “The Traitors,” the show will feature interviews with major celebrities from film, TV, music, and other fields, all in front of a live audience.
The show’s set is expected to resemble the castle from The Traitors, aiming to capture a style that viewers strongly associate with Claudia.
The Sun reports that the set for the show will be designed to resemble a luxurious and intimate private club, taking inspiration from the billiards room and bar at Ardross Castle.
According to a source, the space is being completely transformed to reflect Claudia’s style, starting with the environment itself.
The chat show set will feel cozy and stylish, like a comfortable bar or billiards room in a castle. It’ll have a sophisticated, exclusive atmosphere, blending contemporary and classic design elements, rather than feeling overly formal or traditional.
The Daily Mail has contacted the BBC for comment.
The programme will be produced by the production company behind The Graham Norton Show.
Claudia expressed her excitement and gratitude for the new job, saying she was thrilled and thankful to the BBC for the opportunity.
I know I’ll probably be bad at this, but I’m really excited they’re giving me a chance.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, who leads entertainment commissioning at the BBC, described Claudia as a beloved and endlessly amusing national icon.
She has a remarkable talent for making everyone feel comfortable and helping them shine, no matter who they are – from famous celebrities to people in the crowd.
We’re thrilled she’s getting her own show on the BBC, and we know viewers will love watching her interview celebrities from her comfy sofa!
Graham Stuart, Managing Director of So Television and Executive Producer, explained that Graham Norton had made Friday night talk shows a must-watch. He said the challenge of following such a successful show could only be met with an equally talented host, and they believe they’ve found just that.
In 2025, Claudia and Tess Daly, who co-hosted the show Strictly, publicly announced they would be stepping down from their positions as presenters.
Claudia began her career with the show It Takes Two before becoming a co-host with Tess, 56, on the main Strictly Come Dancing show in 2014.
In a statement, the pair shared that they’ve cherished their time working together and described hosting ‘Strictly’ as a dream come true.
‘We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.
We’re incredibly excited for the rest of this fantastic series and want to express our huge gratitude to the BBC and everyone involved in making the show.
We’re so sad to see such a fantastic team go – we’ll truly miss them. It will be hard to say goodbye, but we’ll keep encouraging each other, even if it’s just casually at home in comfy clothes with some pizza.
Sarah James, who leads the production of Strictly Come Dancing, also shared warm praise for the show’s hosts.
Tess and Claudia are truly the best presenters in the industry, and we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have them host Strictly for so long.
They’ve supported many famous contestants on the dance floor and guided us through two seasons during the pandemic. More importantly, they truly care about the show and everyone who works on it.
‘The Strictly Family is often referred to and these women are the matriarchs of that family.’
They bowed out of the ballroom for good following series 23 and the 2025 Christmas special.
