Each new season introduces these events, offering players a chance to engage in intense player-versus-player conflicts. Certain events provide an opportunity to test out cards you haven’t obtained yet, while others introduce new Evolution cards for exploration. The variety of types includes Draft, Triple Draft, Evolution Mayhem, and more.

Earlier, victories in these events granted you seasonal tokens that were exchangeable for a variety of exciting perks at the Season Store. However, some players have expressed concern because they can’t seem to locate the Season Store within the game, leaving them puzzled about how to claim their rewards. If you’re wondering what happened to the Season Shop and where to redeem your event prizes now, here’s a comprehensive guide.

What Happened to Clash Royale’s Season Shop?

Starting from April 2025, Clash Royale has permanently closed the Season Shop. As a result, players can no longer gather seasonal tokens nor use them to obtain rewards such as Wild Shards, Magic Items, or Coin Bags. Instead, these perks will be distributed in a new manner moving forward.

As a gamer, I’ve always found the Season Shop a great incentive to dive into events, but not everyone seemed to share the same enthusiasm. Frankly, some players were unaware of its existence, missing out on the full perks it offered. To make it more accessible and beneficial for all, the developers thought it was high time for a change.

As a player, I’m now switching from trading tokens to earning regal ‘crowns’ by triumphing in weekly competitions. These hard-earned crowns will be directly applied towards unveiling rewards within the Free Pass, streamlining the process and making it clearer for all participants.

How to Claim Event Rewards in Clash Royale

To claim your weekly awards for events in Clash Royale, navigate to the ‘Battle’ area, click on ‘Pass Royale’ (located in the upper right corner), then browse through the list of available prizes.

Each level requires a specific amount of crowns (often 10) to be opened; these can be obtained by participating in special event games. For instance, if you manage to destroy all three towers in a single game, you’ll receive six crowns. Consequently, to open a level with a 10-crown reward, you would need to win two games that yield such a high score. Any additional crowns you accumulate will be saved for the next tier.

Besides their winnings in events, players can additionally secure up to three Lucky Drops, daily gold, and cards. This is especially true if they haven’t already obtained them through regular arena battles. A noteworthy modification in this updated reward setup is that the Free Pass now offers Wild Shards, a component previously absent from it. Consequently, you can amass them just as you did from the Season Shop. On the other hand, Evolution Shards and the Book of Cards will now be procured through Milestone and Community Events instead.
