- Clash Royale releases Rhino Life short film
- Directed by Ty Evans, blending parkour with rhino riding
- New Dark Prince Hero charges into battle with crowd control potential
I’ve given up trying to guess what Clash Royale will do with its promotions next. From Lil Wayne to partnerships with the National Health Service, and even a musical about the Furnace, they keep surprising us – and now they’ve created an extreme sport featuring rhinos! But somehow, all the hype always leads back to the game’s actual update.
The project features a short film called Rhino Life, created by action sports filmmaker Ty Evans. It showcases “rhino riding,” a made-up sport inspired by the Finnish hobby horsing trend, but taken to the next level with parkour, tricks, and a streetwise vibe.
The movie switches back and forth between Helsinki and Los Angeles, centering on Alisa and a team of parkour enthusiasts who act as if this unique activity is commonplace. It starts by portraying the genuine hobby horsing community, but quickly veers into a more fantastical and over-the-top version without offering much explanation.
The names of moves like the Rhino Charge, Three Crown Line, and Prince Air sound silly, but the dedication to these over-the-top techniques is actually impressive.
Okay, so this whole short film thing? It’s actually a way to introduce the new Hero, the Dark Prince! And get this – he rides a rhino into battle! Gameplay-wise, he’s a real powerhouse. Basically, you send the rhino charging into enemy towers, and the Dark Prince follows up with area-of-effect damage while protected by a shield. It’s a great combo – he brings both solid attack power and crowd control, all in one Hero slot.
This means you can be more aggressive in starting fights. Instead of waiting for the ideal moment, you immediately deploy the Dark Prince, let his charge attack begin, and then see which enemies are still standing to continue attacking.
Wondering how this character stacks up in Clash Royale? Our tier list can help you decide if you should build your decks around them.
