Clash Royale is celebrating the New Year with a special event called “New Year, New Fire,” which includes the opportunity to get a free upgrade for the Furnace tower. Players are especially excited about a new reward called the Gingerbread Lucky Chest and what it might contain.
This new Lucky Chest is available for a limited time during the Heroic Holiday season! It contains a variety of rewards, including cards, cosmetic items, and resources to evolve your heroes. Let’s take a closer look at what it offers.

Understanding the Gingerbread Lucky Chest
The Gingerbread Lucky Chest, similar to the Triple Threat Lucky Chest, is a special, limited-time offer released for Clash Royale’s Heroic Holiday event. The quality of rewards you receive from it, like with all Lucky Chests, depends on how far you’ve progressed in the game (your trophy count).
Players in the earlier levels (below Arena 10) will get standard cards as rewards. Once you reach Arena 10 and beyond, you’ll unlock better rewards like rarer cards, special cosmetic items, and Evolution Shards. Basically, the further you advance in the game, the better your rewards will be.

The Gingerbread Lucky Chest is filled with holiday-themed rewards! You can find cards of all types, including powerful Champions, and special items to help you evolve your Knight.
Below is an overview of what you can unlock from the Gingerbread Lucky Chest.

Besides cards, the chest contains fun cosmetic items like two unique banner frames, two decorations to customize your banner, and a special emote.
How to unlock the Gingerbread Lucky Chest
The Gingerbread Lucky Chest becomes available on December 14th and you can earn them by participating in various holiday events within the game. Throughout the holiday season, you can collect a total of 19 of these chests.
You can find these chests in the following events:
- Twelve Days of Clashmas: Collect 25 crowns and unlock the reward.
- New Year, New Fire: Progress through the event and claim up to 9 Gingerbread Lucky Chests.
- Clan Voyages
The last Gingerbread Lucky Chest you need for the Open Chest Event will be available for free in the Shop. You can get even more chests by participating in giveaways or buying them with Gems in the Shop.
