In the 72nd season of Clash Royale, a blazing change is introduced to the Arena with the debut of a freshly evolved creature: the Inferno Dragon. Yet, that’s not all the update has in store! Let me run through some more new features that come with this season update for you.
Clash Royale Season 72 June 2025 Update Overview
New Evolution: Inferno Dragon
As a proud owner of an Inferno Dragon Evolution, I can confidently say that I’ve leveled up to one of the formidable Evos now. Unlike other evolutions, Inferno Dragon Evolution doesn’t boost any base stats but instead, introduces a game-changing mechanic known as Beam Momentum. This unique ability addresses one of the original card’s significant drawbacks – the need to reset its beam every time it switched targets. Now, I can keep my opponents on their toes without worrying about that inconvenience!

After changing targets, the Inferno Dragon will hold its charged beam for approximately 9 seconds. This allows it to keep building damage potential, including against Crown Towers, provided a new target is found within this given time frame.
Every other deployment triggers the Inferno Dragon Evolution, meaning two out of every three deployments will feature the unevolved version. This transformation holds significant power against armor-plated units and heavy forces, particularly when it’s backed up strategically or shielded from being reset.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale details
The adjustments following the elimination of the seasonal store can also be seen in the Pass Royale. Changes have been made to both the free and premium rewards, which are detailed in the table provided.

The Free Pass offers you approximately 90 levels, providing a balanced assortment of Gold Containers, Lucky Drops, Card Enhancement Potions, and a few Wild Fragments. Additionally, you’ll receive several Giant Chests and some Battle Flags during your journey.
If you opt for the Diamond Pass, the adventure becomes significantly more thrilling. This choice awards you with 6 Inferno Dragon Evolution Shards, numerous Wild Cards across all rarities, a Magical Chest, and even a Legendary King’s Chest.
Additionally, it’s been confirmed that a unique “Tower Skin”, specifically the “Inferno Dragon Tower Skin”, is now available exclusively through the “Pass Royale” with this latest update. This skin can be unlocked when you advance to Tier 90 in the Premium Tier of the Pass Royale, a significant leap from its previous location at Tier 56 following the March update.
Additionally, there’s an Emote, along with a collection of Lucky Drops that offer increased chances of higher-star items. Furthermore, you will receive premium benefits such as a Golden Name, the ability to rejoin challenges without waiting, and Premium Clan Gifts. It’s definitely worth it if your goal is to maximize rewards and cosmetics.
Balance Updates and Other details
In the upcoming update, you’ll see numerous banners and emotes added. Furthermore, various cards are set to receive an enhancement, such as the Inferno Dragon, Baby Dragon, Electro Dragon, and Skeleton Dragons. As for the June 2025 Balance Updates, they have not been disclosed at this time.
