Clash Royale is releasing a big update in October 2025! Season 76 will bring two new Evolutions, and the Champion system is getting a complete overhaul. Plus, a new feature called Lucky Chests is being added, and rewards are changing too. Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know.

New Rewarding system: Lucky Chests

The biggest change in this update is the replacement of Lucky Drops with Lucky Chests. These new chests offer improved rewards and a more consistent experience. Chests are returning after being removed in the March update, but they’ve been redesigned.

We offer three kinds of Lucky Chests: Common Lucky Chests give you cards and gold (with 3 spins each). Magic Lucky Chests offer cards, gold, items, and cosmetics (with 4 spins). Finally, Seasonal Lucky Chests change with each season and come in two different varieties depending on the theme.

This October, look out for two special chests! The Haunted Lucky Chest will contain pieces needed to upgrade your Skeleton Army and Royal Ghost, along with some cool cosmetic items. The Phantom Lucky Chest will also have Royal Ghost upgrade pieces and rewards that fit the spooky season. Plus, opening these seasonal chests will now *always* give you something worthwhile – the more you open, the better the rewards!

Champion Cycle Rework

Champions are simpler to use now. They no longer have a special 3-card draw cycle; instead, they draw cards like any other card in your deck. Only the Champion you most recently played will have an active ability, which is indicated by a crown icon above it.

Whenever you play a Champion, their abilities become ready to use again. If you defeat the Skeleton King and then fight him again, his soul bar will reset too. The Mirror card can now be used with Champions, but you can only include one Champion in your deck at a time.

Two New Evolutions: Royal Ghost and Skeleton Army

This October, we’re excited to offer two new Evolutions! First up is the Royal Ghost Evolution. When it appears, the Royal Ghost will be accompanied by two “Souldiers” that immediately start attacking and defend it while it’s forming. You can unlock this in the Shop beginning October 17th at 9 AM UTC.

Next up is the Skeleton Army Evolution! General Gerry commands these skeletons, granting them invisibility and making them impossible to destroy while he’s still standing. However, if General Gerry is defeated, the entire army will fall. Keep an eye on the Season update news for more information.

Daily Rewards and Game Mode Switcher

We’ve made a change to daily rewards! After testing out a new system, everyone will now receive 4 Magic Lucky Chests each day. This should give you a helpful boost!

Hey, so the game mode selector just got a lot better! Now, whenever there’s a new event going on, you’ll see a bright “New Event!” label, so you won’t miss out. Plus, they’ve added Training Camp and tournaments right into that same menu, which is super convenient – no more digging around to find them!
