Clash Royale November 2025 Update: All details explained

2v2 League, Holiday Events, and a “Heroic” Surprise

Before we talk about upcoming changes, here’s a quick look at what’s coming soon. We’re working on a new 2v2 League to give players a dedicated competitive experience for duos. Plus, we’re making it easier to earn Evolutions by expanding the Evolution Box.

Things are getting really exciting in the game! We’re getting a Clashmas event soon, which I’m super hyped for, and they’re adding special Seasonal Lucky Chests to go with it. Plus, they’re planning to revamp Trophy Road, which is awesome. But the biggest news? Supercell hinted at something totally ‘heroic’ coming up – honestly, it sounds like it could change the game completely! I can’t wait to find out more.

Progression gets an Overhaul

Over time, the ways to upgrade your cards have become complicated, with items like Books, Magic Coins, and Elite Wild Cards all working similarly but in different ways. This update simplifies the system. We want upgrading to be clearer and more satisfying, so you’ll always know when and how to use your resources effectively.

Farewell to Elite Wild Cards

Clash Royale is getting rid of Elite Wild Cards. They were intended to help players advance more easily, but didn’t really deliver on that promise and felt too slow. When the update releases, any Elite Wild Cards you have will be turned into Gems.

Now you can use Gems to buy the exact cards you want in the Shop, which is a much clearer and more convenient way to get them. We’ve already removed Elite Wild Cards from Trophy Road and Ranked rewards to make this transition smoother.

No more Books and Magic Coins

Supercell is also getting rid of some items that served similar purposes. Your Books will become Wild Cards, Magic Coins will turn into Gold, and the Book of Books will be converted into Gems. The amount you receive for these conversions will depend on your King Tower Level and is balanced to work with the lower card and Gold costs in the new system.

The higher your King Level, the more successful you’ll be in the new system. This means all the work you’ve already done will carry over fairly, so you won’t lose any progress.

Introducing Level 16

Okay, so they’re ditching Elite Levels in Clash Royale, which is kinda good news! They’re adding a new level cap at Level 16, and it’s really for those of us who’ve already fully upgraded all our cards. The best part? It looks like it’ll be way easier to hit Level 16 than it was to get to Level 14. They’ve lowered how much stuff you need to upgrade, so it should feel pretty natural to progress. Basically, less grinding, more playing!

Ranked matches will stay at Level 15 until May 2026, giving you time to prepare before more powerful cards are used in competition. Once you reach Level 16, any duplicate cards you earn will automatically become Crystals – a new currency you can use to buy cosmetic items like unique emotes.

Trophy Road Expansion and Ranked Adjustments

Trophy Road is expanding! The maximum trophy count is increasing to 12,000, and four new Arenas are being added between the 10,000 and 12,000 trophy ranges. These new Arenas include additional challenges and rewards to motivate you to continue progressing.

Ranked access is now more flexible. You’ll unlock it simply by reaching the necessary Trophy goal for the season, instead of having to finish the entire Trophy Road.
