Clash Royale November 2025 Update: All details explained
2v2 League, Holiday Events, and a “Heroic” Surprise
Before we talk about upcoming changes, here’s a quick look at what’s coming soon. We’re working on a new 2v2 League to give teams a dedicated competitive scene. Plus, we’re making it easier to earn Evolutions by expanding the Evolution Box.

Get ready for a festive update! A new Clashmas event is coming, along with special themed Lucky Chests. Supercell is also planning improvements to Trophy Road. Plus, they’ve hinted at a major, “heroic” addition that promises to significantly change how you play!
Progression gets an Overhaul
Over time, the way you improve your cards has become complicated with different items like Books, Magic Coins, and Elite Wild Cards doing similar things. This update simplifies the process. We want upgrading cards to be easier to understand and more satisfying, so you’ll always know when and how to best use your resources.
Farewell to Elite Wild Cards
Clash Royale is removing Elite Wild Cards. They were intended to help players progress faster, but didn’t quite achieve that goal and felt ineffective. When the update releases, any Elite Wild Cards you have will be turned into Gems.

Now you can use Gems to buy the exact cards you want in the Shop, which is a much clearer and more convenient way to get them. We’ve already removed Elite Wild Cards from Trophy Road and Ranked rewards to make this transition smoother.
No more Books and Magic Coins
Supercell is simplifying things by removing some existing items. Your Books will become Wild Cards, Magic Coins will turn into Gold, and the Book of Books will be converted into Gems. The amount you receive for each conversion will depend on your King Tower level, and it’s balanced to work with the lower card and Gold costs in the new update.
As a long-time player, I’m really glad to see that the higher your King Level, the better things will convert over to the new system. It basically means all the work I’ve already put in won’t be wasted and my progress will carry over fairly – that’s a huge relief!
Introducing Level 16
Clash Royale is replacing Elite Levels with a new, easier milestone: Level 16. This is for players who have fully upgraded their cards. The game is also making it easier to progress by lowering the amount of cards and Gold needed. Reaching Level 16 should feel as smooth as getting to Level 14 used to be.

Ranked play will stay at Level 15 until May 2026, giving players time to prepare before more powerful cards are used in competition. Once you reach Level 16, any extra cards you earn will automatically become Crystals, a new currency you can use to buy cosmetic items like unique emotes.
Trophy Road Expansion and Ranked Adjustments
Trophy Road is expanding! The maximum trophy count is increasing to 12,000, and we’re adding four new Arenas between 10,000 and 12,000 trophies. These new Arenas include additional challenges and rewards to keep you motivated as you progress.
Ranked access is now more flexible! You’ll unlock it as soon as you reach the necessary Trophy goal for the season, rather than having to finish the entire Trophy Road.
