Clash Royale will be adding two new playable Heroes in its February 2026 season, as announced on TV Royale. Both Goblins and the Mega Minion will receive Hero versions with special abilities.
Clash Royale February 2026 season arrivals: Hero Goblins and Hero Mega Minion
Hero Goblins
In Hero Goblins, the goal is to keep spawning new goblins. When the last goblin from your current group is defeated, a banner appears on the battlefield. This gives you a limited time to use the hero’s ability, which then spawns a fresh wave of goblins right where the banner is located.
This special banner isn’t permanent, and it won’t last forever. It’s most effective if you use it quickly and while your goblins are in a good spot – otherwise, you won’t get much benefit. Since you only have one chance to activate it, timing is crucial to maximizing its impact.
Hero Mega Minion
Unlike some other units, Hero Mega Minion is very straightforward. When its ability is used, it immediately targets and teleports to the enemy with the least health, no matter where that enemy is on the battlefield, and then attacks.
You can see who he’s aiming for before he uses his ability, giving you time to react. And if he targets a tower, the damage is lowered for a short period, preventing instant destruction.
Other updates
Touchdown is back as a ranked game mode! The gameplay is the same as before: no towers, score by moving your troops into the opponent’s end zone, and win by getting three crowns – or by having the most points when the timer ends.
This game mode uses decks of only four cards, and all cards are limited to level 11. You’ll need to win 15 matches to qualify for the leaderboard.
