  • With the evo at the helm, new combinations can used to build the decks.

This year, Clash Royale has introduced a fresh Evolution called the Inferno Dragon, which is proving popular among many decks. In this guide, we’ll highlight the top-performing decks utilizing this card and share effective strategies that have proven successful.

Best Inferno Dragon Evolution decks to use in Clash Royale

With the arrival of the Season 72 ‘How to Evolve Your Dragon’ June 2025 Update, the Inferno Dragon Evolution maintains its existing stats while gaining a new skill named Beam Momentum. This skill allows the evolved Inferno Dragon to retain its beam charge for approximately 9 seconds after switching targets.

This implies that it continuously melts through opponents, even Crown Towers, without needing to restart. The evolution occurs once every two rounds, so approximately one out of every three placements will result in an upgraded Inferno Dragon. Now, let’s explore some top-tier decks for this purpose.

1. Inferno Dragon, Royal Giant, Electro Dragon, Barbarian Barrel, Fire Spirit, Furnace, Guards, Lightning

Average Elixir Cost: 3.9

This deck could prove extremely effective if it were possible to utilize three forms of evolution during standard fights, although I might be jumping the gun a bit. The Royal Giant serves as your primary objective for victory, while Furnace assists by gradually damaging and positioning Fire Spirits to aid him.

In a different phrasing:

I discovered Electro Dragon to be surprisingly effective in double elixir when I employed the evolved version, yet in our current gameplay, we’re utilizing the non-evolved variant. Lightning effectively eliminates bothersome support troops such as Musketeer or Witch. Guards offer an affordable ground defense against units like Prince or Miner. The aspect that stood out to me was the sense of security this deck provided. Here is the deck configuration for your reference:

Deck Configuration:

1. Electro Dragon (Evo/Non-evo)
2. Lightning
3. Guards
4. Musketeer or Witch (Optional)
5. Prince or Miner
6. Skeletons or Spear Goblins
7. Zap
8. Fireball
9. Tombstone or Inferno Tower
10. Elixir Collector
11. Arena Tower
12. Spells/Cards of your choice (depending on the match-up)

2. Inferno Dragon, Valkyrie, Royal Hogs, Fireball, Zappies, Zap, Bats, Magic Archer

Average Elixir Cost: 3.6

Two strategic choices in the Inferno Dragon and Valkyrie deck make it lethally effective. The relentless assault of Royal Hogs is undeniable, becoming even more potent when you manage to provoke a Fireball response with Zappies or Magic Archer. Valkyrie stands firm on the battlefield, offering excellent defense and facilitating lane shifts if you opt for split pushing.

The Inferno Dragon becomes incredibly powerful when it’s not countered, and the Magic Archer excels at dealing sneaky damage. Controlling massive push attacks can be tricky, but maintaining offensive pressure prevents your opponent from building a strong counterattack. Give this deck a try!

3. Inferno Dragon, Mega Knight, Royal Ghost, Bats, Zap, Tombstone, Miner, Skeleton Barrel

Average Elixir Cost: 3.4

This game is extremely enjoyable for those who appreciate strategies involving feints and rebuttals. The Mega Knight provides significant push advantage, particularly when combined with Bats or Skeleton Barrel for counterattacks. I continuously rotated the Miner to gradually wear down my opponent while they found it challenging to keep pace with my frequent attacks.

The Tombstone functions as your defensive structure and diversionary tactic, allowing you to stall the enemy’s advance while your Inferno Dragon or Mega Knight handle cleanup. The Royal Ghost is an excellent support card in this setup, dishing out damage while shielding your Miner or Skelly Barrel. This deck seems potent based on my playtesting, so give it a spin and see if it works for you.
