Champions are the strongest and most unique units in Clash Royale. They each have a special ability that costs Elixir to use, and can dramatically change the course of a battle.
Right now, there are eight Champions available in the game. Since you can only include one Champion card in your deck, choosing the best one can be tricky.
We’re here to help you figure out which Champions are the strongest. We’ve created a ranked list, called a tier list, of all the available Champions. While a Champion’s power can change depending on the deck you build, our rankings are mainly based on each Champion’s own unique skills and stats.
All Champions in Clash Royale, Ranked
Our Champion tier list is ranked based on several factors, including a Champion’s stats, special abilities, how well they work with other cards, and their current win rate. We also took into account the recent balance changes from November when making these rankings.

The very best Champions in Clash Royale are in the S-tier. These Champions are incredibly strong and hard to defend against, allowing them to deal significant damage to enemy troops and Towers.
A-tier Champions are powerful and can really influence a game, but they aren’t quite as strong as the very best. Think of them as excellent alternatives to the top-tier choices.
B-tier Champions are generally decent picks, but their success depends a bit on the specific situation. They aren’t always reliable, but they can definitely help you win if played well.
Champions in the C-tier are generally weaker and require extra effort to perform well. You’ll likely need to build your decks specifically to help them succeed.
Champions ranked as F-tier are the weakest choices in Clash Royale. They don’t often offer enough benefit to justify using them in your decks.
Here is our Champion tier list for Clash Royale:
| Tier | Champion |
| S | Archer Queen and Boss Bandit |
| A | Golden Knight and Mighty Miner |
| B | Skeleton King and Goblinstein |
| C | Monk |
| F | Little Prince |
We’ll refresh the rankings with each new game update, since those updates often change the game’s balance and shift what strategies are most effective.
Best Champions in Clash Royale

The best Champions at the moment are the Archer Queen and Boss Bandit.
The Archer Queen is a consistently strong Champion to include in your deck. She excels at dealing damage from a distance, and her Cloaking Cape makes her even more effective. This ability briefly hides her while also boosting her attack speed, making her a truly formidable opponent.
The Boss Bandit has been a challenging opponent for Clash Royale players ever since she was introduced in early 2025. While she costs a lot of Elixir – 6, to be exact – she’s powerful with a lot of health, high damage, and attacks that charge forward. Plus, her special ability lets her throw a grenade to quickly escape fights and attack from a distance, making her a strategically versatile unit.
Worst Champions in Clash Royale

The worst Champion in the current meta is the Little Prince.
The Little Prince isn’t a bad Champion, but he doesn’t quite measure up to others in the game. His special ability is expensive – it costs 3 Elixir – and unfortunately, the benefits don’t seem to justify the cost. While summoning the Guardienne can deal some damage and draw enemy attention, you can find more cost-effective options.
Before the Little Prince speeds up his attacks, he doesn’t deal much damage. This means he doesn’t make a strong first impression in battles, and players often expect more from their characters at the start.
