Clash of Clans YouTuber faces channel ban after developer copyright strikes multiple videos

I’m really worried about EricOneHive, one of my favorite Clash of Clans YouTubers! He’s got over 450,000 subscribers, but it looks like his channel might be taken down. Apparently, Supercell has been sending him copyright strikes, and it could mean the end of his channel.

Eric, an esports commentator who’s been making videos about Supercell games for seven years, claims the studio unfairly requested YouTube remove his videos. He posted on X (formerly Twitter) showing screenshots of videos taken down due to copyright claims involving footage from Clash of Clans, and says this has led to YouTube’s system potentially banning his channel with three strikes.

Supercell filed the reports that led to YouTube flagging the channel for potential termination after the third claim was received.

My YouTube channel, with over 460,000 subscribers, is going to be deleted soon because of a lot of copyright claims from Supercell. I really need your help right now, and any donation would be greatly appreciated. You can find details about the situation and Supercell’s response on my GoFundMe page.

YouTube flagged Eric’s channel for removal, so he tried to appeal the decision. However, YouTube denied most of his appeals, and his channel still faces potential deletion due to three strikes against it.

Creator says potential legal fight may follow

On November 26th, YouTuber EricOneHive announced on social media that his channel, with over 460,000 subscribers, would be taken down shortly due to numerous copyright claims from Supercell. He has started a GoFundMe campaign, anticipating a legal battle as a result of these takedowns.

I’ve responded to the recent claims against me. Even if we can keep the channel up, I won’t be posting any more content related to Supercell games. I might also need a break to sort things out, but I’ll let everyone know what my plans are moving forward.

He followed up with a more detailed statement explaining that YouTube temporarily stopped removing his content while they looked into his response. However, he cautioned that his channel could still be taken down. He also announced that even if the channel remains active, he won’t be creating videos about Supercell games anymore.

The creator mentioned he might pause uploading videos while he figures things out, but he’ll keep people updated on X. He expressed gratitude for the support he’s received over the past seven years and feels it’s best to stop making content about Supercell games right now.
