Hero Equipment in Clash of Clans
Introduction
In the world of Clash of Clans, a fresh addition comes in the form of Hero Equipment. This feature allows you to select unique abilities for your Heroes during battles. Think of it as an RPG-like experience where you assign special skills to your character beyond their default one. And that’s exactly what Hero Equipment does in CoC.
Clash of Clans attacks now offer more adaptability and complexity, enabling players to tailor their Heroes for various situations and enhance their effectiveness.
Features
At Town Hall 8, Hero Equipment becomes functional for the first time. This means that the abilities of your heroes, including the Barbarian King, will now be activated. As you progress in the game and unlock new heroes, you’ll have the opportunity to explore their unique and powerful abilities as well.
You have an abundance of options at your disposal. For instance, your Archer Queen can fire large arrows, or your Barbarian King can don Earthquake Boots to shatter and trample through walls.
Instead of your heroes retaining their traditional abilities like the Barbarian King’s “Iron Fist,” these abilities have been transformed into distinct hero equipment that can be enhanced and customized. For instance, activating the “Barbarian Puppet” item allows the Barbarian King to summon a horde of highly enraged barbarians to join the battle.
Instead of calling for enraged Barbarians with each strike, how about you give your Barbarian King the ability to self-heal instead, using a nickname like Vampstache for added flair.
CoC Hero Equipment: Unlocking and Upgrading
In the game Clash of Clans, you can acquire Hero Equipment by making use of a specific building called the Blacksmith. On the other hand, upgrading your heroes requires resources referred to as Ores. Let’s explore how this process unfolds in more detail.
Blacksmith
At Town Hall 8, you’ll find this building waiting for you, already unlocked. It’s essential because it enables you to enhance the gear of all your future heroes. With each Blacksmith upgrade, a fresh upgrade option becomes available.

As a gamer, I can tell you that the blacksmith’s level in our game is connected to the Town Hall level. This means that the types of equipment the blacksmith can create are determined by your progress in the Town Hall upgrades. When you first start out, at Town Hall Level 1, the blacksmith will be able to craft the Barbarian King’s Earthquake Boots for you. But as you advance through higher Town Hall levels, new and better equipment becomes available for your Heroes as well.
Ores
As an avid player, I’d be happy to share my experience on upgrading hero equipment using precious ores. These include Shiny, Glowy, and Starry ores which are essential for the enhancement process. You can acquire these ores through several methods: collecting star bonuses in your Home Village, participating in Clan Wars, purchasing from the Trader or the in-game shop. Selection of Hero Equipment
After that, you have two options to prepare your gear. You can tap on the “Blacksmith” or select a hero and click on the “Equipment” choice. Alternatively, you can go to the “Army” tab to reach the same Equipment section.
Press any hero icon, and a window showing that hero’s Equipment will appear for you to use. There are two options: tapping to Equip or dragging and dropping the desired Equipment. In Clash of Clans, each hero can be equipped with a maximum of two items.
Upgrading of Hero Equipment
Based on my experience as a seasoned player, I’ve found that each Equipment piece in this game holds its unique level. Enhancing their potential is where the fun comes in, and let me tell you, it’s a crucial aspect of progression. As we all know, Ores are the key to unlocking these upgrades. So, whenever you come across an Equipment item, simply tap on it, and voila! You’ll discover the ‘Upgrade’ option if you’ve amassed enough Ores in your account storage.
With each level upgrade, the capacity for storing Ores in your inventory will grow. However, please keep in mind that Hero Boost Potions do not enhance the statistics of your equipment.
CoC Hero Equipment: Rarities and Abilities
Rarities of Equipment
Based on my experience as a seasoned gamer, I can tell you that the difference between Common and Epic equipment in this game is quite significant. I’ve spent countless hours upgrading my Common gear to level 18 using my trusty Blacksmith. It’s reliable, gets the job done, but it’s not exactly exciting.
As a dedicated gamer, I can tell you that during certain unique events, you have the chance to acquire Epic-tier characters. These extraordinary individuals come with added perks that significantly boost their capabilities in battle. For instance, some equipment bestows additional benefits such as increased damage output, improved health regeneration, or enhanced movement speed, ultimately empowering your heroes to overcome challenges more effectively.
Abilities of Equipment
For every piece of equipment, there are two distinct capabilities: the active and the passive. The former must be triggered during a fight, such as engaging the Barbarian King’s Iron Gauntlet. Conversely, passive abilities remain constantly active without requiring any user intervention. An illustration is the Grand Warden’s Aura, which perpetually enhances nearby troops.
