A player posted screenshots showing they were receiving free gems, but said they had no idea what the recent Clash of Clans lawsuit settlement was and didn’t recall agreeing to anything. This sparked a lot of conversation, and we’re here to clarify what’s happening.

Several players signed up for a class-action lawsuit a few months ago, expecting to receive about $60 and 2,586 gems. As more players joined the lawsuit, they also began asking about their promised rewards, which they hadn’t yet received.

A recent settlement was reached in a California lawsuit concerning refunds for purchases made by children in the game Clash of Clans. The lawsuit, filed last year, involved the player T.T. and the game developer Supercell. If you live in California and had an email address associated with the claim, you may be eligible to receive funds from the settlement.

The deadline to sign up for the settlement had passed, and many people in the community were unaware it was even offered. Some playfully mentioned they had numerous old accounts – dating back to 2013 – and wondered how much money they might have received if they’d known about it.
