The most effective strategies in Clash of Clans’ Legend League are always evolving, particularly after game updates and when top players start using new defenses. Analyzing data on these trends can help you improve both your attacks and how you build your base.
I recently came across a really insightful Reddit post by u/m10k_10km with great data that I wanted to share with other Clash of Clans players. They analyzed trends in Legend League II, particularly regarding Guardians, Crafted Defenses, and overall defensive strategies as of June 2026. Here’s a summary of their findings.
Discussing the Legend League meta in Clash of Clans for June 2026
The data was collected from 119 attack logs between April 27 and May 24, 2026, in Legend League II.
Guardian meta in Legend League
Longshot is by far the most popular character in Guardian right now, used in nearly 78% of matches. Logger is a distant second at 19%, but it’s interesting to note how usage has changed compared to last month.
Players are now favoring Logger, who wasn’t previously considered a strong choice, while Longshot has become a less popular pick due to its recent decline starting in April. Smasher is rarely used, appearing in only 2.5% of setups, and its usage has decreased by another 0.5%, making it the least common Guardian option right now.
Crafted Defenses meta in Legend League
The Lava Launcher is by far the most popular defensive weapon in player-created bases, used in 79% of designs. It remains the go-to choice for players in the highest leagues, who consider it the most reliable all-around defense.
As a fan, I’ve noticed Air Bombs are seriously on the rise! They jumped to 11.8% usage, which is a huge increase since April. It seems like more and more players are realizing how important it is to have good anti-air defense, especially with all the strong air attacks we’re seeing in the Legend League.
Currently, the Roaster is used in about 7.6% of battles, though its popularity has dipped a little. The Crafting Station is used much less, only appearing in 1.7% of matches. Recent changes, like weakening the Lava Launcher and strengthening the Roaster and Air Bomb, suggest we might see a shift in popular defensive strategies soon.
Multi Gear Tower meta in Legend League
Long Range Mode is now the most popular choice in Multi Gear Tower, used in over 61% of games. This is a significant increase of 18% from last month, suggesting players are prioritizing broader defensive strategies. Meanwhile, Fast Attack Mode has become less common, now used in just under 39% of games, and is likely to decrease in popularity even more.
Spell Tower meta in Legend League
Double Rage Spell Towers are still the most popular defensive choice, appearing in 77.3% of bases. The data shows players continue to rely on Rage Towers to deal the most damage when defending.
Rage and Poison is the most popular combination at nearly 12%, followed by Double Poison at around 6%. All other strategies, like those using Earthquake or Invisibility, are used by less than 3% of players.
Best bases for the Legend League
Several strong players also performed well, and we noted how often they were used. The most-used player accounted for 5% of all Legend players, while the other two combined were used a total of six times.
