Clash of Clans January 2026 Weekly Events Explained

Overview

The Desert Nights season transforms the village with a sandy, dune-inspired theme. A key feature is the return of the Goblin Builder, who will be available all month. Plus, players can participate in Clan War Leagues (CWL), new events, unlock hero skins, complete challenges, and enjoy a variety of reward opportunities throughout the season.

Week 1: January 1 to January 5

CWL and return of Goblin Builder

The month starts with Clan War Leagues (CWL) running from January 1st to January 11th, offering clans over a week of competitive battles. Plus, starting today, you can hire the Goblin Builder for a small gem cost.

Dune Dustup Challenge Level

I’m really excited about the Dune Dustup Challenge alongside CWL! It sounds like a blast – you get to test your skills in a fun challenge and earn some awesome rewards by defeating your opponents. I can’t wait to jump in and collect them all!

Desert Nights Scenery and Hero Skins

Starting January 3rd, you can completely change the look of your village to resemble a magnificent Desert Nights palace. Then, beginning January 5th, new hero skins with a desert theme will be available to customize your heroes.

Week 2 and 3: January 6 to January 21

Trader Specials

Starting January 6th, the Trader Shop will have discounts on Magic Items, skins, and decorations. Plus, if you purchase a Magic Item offer, you’ll unlock additional, slightly less discounted offers. Keep in mind that the Magic Item discounts vary depending on your TH level.

Equipment Blast Event

A new event, the Equipment Blast, starts on January 9th! Participating will give your heroes a chance to get new and improved equipment.

Week 4: January 22 to January 31

Clan Games

Clan Games are back on January 22nd, featuring new Strongman challenges! Completing these challenges will give you rewards.

Treasure Hunt 

The Treasure Hunt event, like the one on November 25th, is ending on January 28th after a four-week run. To participate, simply attack enemy bases and gather hidden chests to earn free rewards.
