From my perspective, these new skins that have just dropped for the mighty machine are truly impressive. We’ve got three new options for the Barbarian King now. One of them is a dazzling Gold Skin, while the other two are Legendary skins, each bringing its unique charm to the table. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect from each skin:
1. King of the North
- Class: Gold
- Released on: January 2024
The initial Barbarian King skin was introduced in the “Viking” King of the North during the January 2024 season, making it the first Gold Pass skin. In this portrayal, he embodies the image of a Viking monarch, donning a striking blue robe and wielding an imposing ancient axe.
When you encounter him in the game, his imposing presence and immense power are palpable. This striking impression leaves a lasting impact on me, making him an unforgettable favorite for the role of the King.
2. Dragon King
- Class: Legendary
- Released on: February 2024
During February 2024 in Clash of Clans, there was a Lunar New Year Theme named “Lunar New Year Event 2024.” This exciting time brought the introduction of the Dragon Champion skin, as well as the unexpected arrival of the elusive Dragon King. All four related skins graced our screens during this special occasion.
In the store, you can find this renowned skin for the Barbarian character, which features an impressive blue design. Its appearance brings to mind Avatar, yet it has a colder and more striking look that has quickly gained popularity among fans.
3. Space King
- Class: Legendary
- Released on: March 2024
In March 2024, the Gold Pass season will return with a display of every Hero’s four skins for the second time in a row. Previously, I wasn’t too fond of the Space Archer Queen design, but the Barbarian King skin is a significant improvement.
The skin actually looks good on the King in both the animation and the game. Although the King appears space-ready in the animation, his new skin fits him exceptionally well, even surpassing the Queen’s in terms of suitability. The design is visually appealing, and the colors are pleasing to the eye as well.
4. Egypt King
- Class: Legendary
- Released on: April 2024
During the April 2024 Gold Pass season, we were treated to an abundance of fantastic skins. One that truly stood out to me was the Egypt-inspired Barbarian King skin. He exuded menace and perfectly embodied the role of the Clash of Clans’ Pharaoh King.
From my perspective as a fan, the design of this character was richly infused with Arabesque elements that seemed to envelop him entirely. Instead of the conventional sword, he carried an intricately designed weapon that added to his unique personality. And those eyes of his – they blazed with an intensity that suggested he was prepared to shatter anything that dared stand in his path.
5. Football King
- Class: Legendary
- Released on: May 2024
When it was revealed that Erling Haaland’s Football Season would begin in May 2024, it came as no surprise that the skins for our Heroes would adopt a Football theme. True to form, each Hero received a new skin, with the Football King being among them.
In simpler terms, I found the Football King skin merely average, considering the inconsistencies among the other skins. Its design leaned towards the classic or retro style, featuring just two solid colors and incorporating a glove, reminiscent of a Goalkeeper’s uniform.
6. Wild West King
- Class: Legendary
- Released on: June 2024
In June 2024, Clash of Clans took a turn for the unexpected with the introduction of the Wild West season. At this time, the Wild West King and three other skins joined the game. Personally, I think the Wild West King’s skin is the standout among them.
Drawing inspiration from iconic film characters, I observe that the King’s appearance is notably enhanced with an abundance of cosmetics. His boots, pants, and attire top it off, while his sword, now a horse’s reins, adds to the visual allure. The gameplay he delivers is nothing short of exceptional.
7. Clash Games King
- Class: Gold
- Released on: July 2024
During July 2024, the games followed a Clash Theme for their releases. As a result, all new skins adhered to this motif. Among these, the Barbarian King emerged as a Gold Pass exclusive skin.
The skin disappointed us greatly, falling short compared to previous designs. Sadly, during the initial discussions, no one on the design team expressed optimism about it. Unfortunately, this underwhelming skin was a clear miss for us and, up to now, has been the least impressive release of the year.
When will the next CoC Barbarian King Skins release in 2024
As a dedicated gamer of Clash of Clans, I’ve observed that the way to acquire new skins for my heroes follows a consistent pattern. Essentially, there are two possibilities: either I obtain the skin as part of my Gold Pass rewards each season or I buy it from the in-game shop. Based on this trend, I’m excitedly anticipating a potential Legendary Barbarian King skin when the new season starts in August 2024.
As a dedicated player with years of experience under my belt, I can’t stress enough how exciting it is when I come across new and unique skins for my character in this game.
