On the shores of Barbados, Claire Sweeney experienced a close call with an unplanned exposure when her bikini top momentarily slipped away.
For the holiday season and New Year’s celebration, the previous Brookside cast member, aged 53, left behind the chilly British climate and instead enjoyed a tropical getaway in the Caribbean.
The actress appeared cheerful while playing in the water, yet she suddenly let out a surprised gasp when attempting to prevent her swimsuit from slipping off.
Claire donned a two-piece swimsuit featuring a light blue leaf pattern, complete with a white strap, as she pulled her golden hair up into an elegant bun.
The star donned a similar see-through gown and sunshades before taking a leisurely walk on the beach.

Claire recently took a vacation to the Caribbean, following her breakup with partner Ricky Hatton, which happened eight months into their relationship.
Previously, they were secretly dating following their appearance on ITV’s Dancing on Ice, and they took a vacation in Tenerife during the month of May.
However, following their summer vacation, it appears that the boxer and ex-Brookside actress have decided to go separate ways – several months after Claire discussed their shared sense of humor and mutual affection for the sitcom “Only Fools and Horses.
The duo’s latest photo-op was on November 13 in Manchester, where they both went to watch the stage adaptation of the popular sitcom that’s currently traveling around the UK.
Concerning the divide that occurred during the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada, Claire stated to TopMob: “Everything is fine between us – we remain friends, we once were friends, we had a romantic relationship and are friends now again. Everything is fine!
Previously, Claire from “Coronation Street” stated that she and Ricky had been acquainted for a quarter-century prior to their feelings for each other igniting. Meanwhile, the boxing champion mentioned it was pleasant that they could establish a connection after both had ended their past relationships.
In 2017, Claire became single after her split from Daniel Reilly, their shared son Jaxon notwithstanding. Similarly, Ricky, who also has three kids, found himself unattached since his relationship with hairstylist Angela Blemmings concluded two years back.
According to a source, Claire and Ricky continue to be friends, as they have not experienced any issues or disputes between them.
‘They decided they’re better off as pals and are no longer romantically together.
They had a great time together, they share many hobbies, yet their living habits significantly vary.
While Claire is a major star on Coronation Street with a steadily climbing career, Ricky is known for his spontaneous and unconventional approach.
Ricky is currently preparing to travel to Tenerife, a place that feels like home to him, while Claire is fully immersed in her work, seemingly setting aside romantic pursuits for the moment.

During her interview with Lorraine in July, Claire discussed the romantic bond that developed between her and Ricky after 25 years of friendship.
She mentioned: ‘We’d cross paths at various functions, collaborated on a TV show, but our initial encounter was in La Manga during the early 2000s. Later, we danced together for Comic Relief in 2013, and then again on Dancing On Ice. It’s been an enjoyable journey.’

It turned out that both of us were practicing in Altrincham. Since Claire is a character on Coronation Street and hails from Liverpool, our training schedules often overlapped.
During our ice skating training, we hit it off immediately. As our journey continued, taking us to London for her performance, our relationship only improved further.
