Starting from yesterday (November 7th), I’ve been immersed in a thrilling new production, where even Harry Potter’s own Brendan Gleeson is part of the cast. Lionsgate has taken on this film project, as per Screen Daily’s latest reports.

According to Helen Macdonald’s autobiographical book, the movie portrays a woman mourning over the loss of her dear father, who unexpectedly develops a bond with a challenging bird named Mabel.

The film “H Is For Hawk” will be directed by BAFTA winner Philippa Lowthorpe and written by Emma Donoghue, who wrote “Room“)

Previously, Foy and Lowthorpe have collaborated on two episodes of The Crown’s second season, and this isn’t their first collaboration.

Plan B Entertainment has joined forces with Good Gate Media and Film4 for the production and development of this project. Both Good Gate Media and Film4 will serve as executive producers and co-financiers as well.

Foy and Macdonald are also part of the executive producer team.

Film4 is thrilled to witness the commencement of filming for “H Is For Hawk” in Cambridge and Wales, expressing gratitude towards Plan B’s exceptional team, as well as Philippa and Emma, who are spearheading this powerful and captivating production, according to a statement from Film4.

In the upcoming seconds of “Wolf Hall,” you’ll find Foy making an appearance. This captivating sequel is set to debut on Sunday, November 10th.

In the upcoming fantasy “The Magic Faraway Tree,” the actress will be joining forces once more with her “Breathe” co-star, Andrew Garfield.

Drawing inspiration from Enid Blyton’s cherished children’s book, the movie is set to trace the journey of Polly (Foy) and Tim (Garfield), a married couple along with their three kids. After moving to the serene countryside, they stumble upon a magical tree and its peculiar inhabitants who add a touch of whimsy to their new life.

This production boasts a distinguished ensemble featuring Nicola Coughlan from Bridgerton, Rebecca Ferguson known for her role in Dune, Jessica Gunning, recognized for her work in Baby Reindeer, and Dustin Demri-Burns, an actor from Slow Horses.
