Netflix UK will soon release a moving true story called H is for Hawk. The film features Claire Foy (known from The Crown) as Helen Macdonald, who trains a goshawk while grieving the loss of her father. Critics have described it as captivating and heartwarming.
This work is adapted from naturalist Adam Macdonald’s award-winning 2014 memoir, which received honors including the Samuel Johnson Prize and Costa Book of the Year.
Philippa Lowthorpe directed the film, which features performances by Brendan Gleeson, Denise Gough, Sam Spruell, and Lindsay Duncan.
The movie H is for Hawk will soon be available to stream on Netflix in the UK. While there isn’t a confirmed release date yet, it’s currently listed as ‘worth the wait,’ suggesting it will be available relatively soon.
