Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Trailer Reveals Voice Cast Including Charlie Cox and Andy Serkis
As a seasoned gamer who has traversed countless digital landscapes, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about the star-studded cast for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The roster includes heavyweights like Charlie Cox and Andy Serkis, actors whose work I’ve admired in various genres and universes.
Expedition 33″. This talented group includes Charlie Cox, known for his roles in Daredevil, Stardust, and Boardwalk Empire, as well as Andy Serkis, who has starred in The Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, and The Batman.
In the recently released statement about the upcoming turn-based action-adventure game, it is mentioned that along with the brave Explorers as they strive to annihilate the Paintress and liberate humanity from her deadly cycle, players will come across enigmatic and perilous strangers. These strangers appear driven by motives that are not only secretive but also opposed to the objectives of the other characters.
In the cast, Jennifer English (known for Baldur’s Gate 3 and Elden Ring), Kirsty Rider (The Sandman and Sifu), Shala Nyx (the Old Guard and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty), and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI’s Clive) join Cox and Serkis. They respectively portray the characters of a “shy loner” named Maelle, a “passionate scholar” called Lune, a “cheerful warrior” named Sciel, and a “dangerous stranger” referred to as Verso.
In addition to the already announced characters, Rich Keeble (Good Omens), Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate 3), Tracy Wiles (Baldur’s Gate 3), and Maxence Cazorla (Ineffable) are also part of the cast, taking on undisclosed roles. Cox portrays Gustave, a resourceful and dedicated engineer, while Serkis brings life to the forceful and passionate Renoir.
33rd Expedition of Clair Obscur: Launching simultaneously on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in spring 2025 (day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers). It boasts agile exploration mechanics, a richly-crafted environment, and an interactive, reactive turn-based combat system that requires precise timing to attack, evade, shield, or counter.
