Cindy Crawford Raves About Kaia Gerber’s Fearless Stage Performance at 23!
Cindy Crawford showed her loving support, enthusiastically applauding her daughter Kaia Gerber during her performance in a play titled “Evanston Salt Costs Climbing.
On a Sunday, the 58-year-old model posted pictures of her 23-year-old daughter performing on the first night of a play at the Rogue Machine Theatre in LA on Instagram.
In the images, Kaia portrayed her character Jane Jr., working alongside actors Hugo Armstrong, Lesley Fera, and Michael Redfield. She was almost unnoticeable with her outfit consisting of a blue beanie, a hoodie, sweatpants, and winter socks, as she read her lines attentively.

Since her debut in a neighborhood children’s theater production of The Wizard of Oz, playing both Auntie Em and tree number 2, Kaia has shown no shortage of courage on stage. It’s such a joy to watch her perform passionately with this exceptional group! She couldn’t help but exclaim her admiration.

At the Rogue Machine Theatre, Evanston Salt Costs Climbing will be playing until Sunday, March 9th. However, all shows from now until the performance on February 7th are sold out. The general admission fee for this play is $60.
Additionally, Cindy allowed a glimpse into the program’s playbill, displaying her pride as she highlighted her daughter’s bio on the cast list. Moreover, she posted a photo of Kaia and her fellow actors posing together following the performance.
Even though she’s already made a name for herself by modeling for top-tier fashion brands, Kaia isn’t new to showcasing her skills onstage or in front of the camera.
Rande Gerber’s daughter has been featured in various acting roles, such as American Horror Stories (2021), American Horror Story: Double Feature (2021), Bottoms (2023), and more recently, Palm Royale (2024).
In my recent role spotlight with Vogue last November, I, Kaia, shared that acting allows me to perpetually embrace the role of a student. It’s a fascinating journey where I continue to learn and grow every day.
‘So [acting] such a privileged thing, but I have fallen back in love with modeling because of it.’
Additionally, she disclosed that at first, she believed no one would be willing to employ her for the lead role in Evanston Salt Costs Climbing, marking her debut in professional theater.
Following the script’s completion, she mused: ‘I doubt anyone would select me for this role. Not a chance. Yet, I feel such an affinity towards [Jane Jr.] and it’s disheartening to think that no one might ever perceive me as this girl with whom I share so much in common.’
In the year 2023, she shared with FACES that she had attended acting school before embarking on her modeling journey at the age of 10, starting in 2011. She explained that these experiences have contributed to her gaining self-assurance and broadening her perspective.
Prior to contemplating modeling, she had already been acting in school productions. This experience significantly boosted her confidence, broadened her perspective, and acclimated her to speaking before an audience, particularly in front of a camera, as she later shared with the magazine.
During my modeling career,” Kaia explained, “I picked up the skill of quickly adopting various personas and altering myself dramatically. Over time, as I ventured into acting, I became increasingly adept at disregarding the presence of the camera.
She told the media that she uses modeling and acting as creative avenues, which she now considers a wonderful present in her life.
When questioned about her experience juggling two roles, Kaia responded by expressing gratitude for each occasion where she gets to pursue what she loves.

Just a few days ago, she was spotted indulging in a rejuvenating spa day right here in Los Angeles – all a mere fortnight since the heart-wrenching breakup headlines with Austin Butler, the Elvis himself, surfaced.
