Cindy Crawford jokes her daughter Kaia Gerber is ‘traumatised’ by her nude photoshoots and reveals she displayed them in her family home
Cindy Crawford has joked that her daughter Kaia Gerber is ‘traumatised’ by her nude photoshoots.
In her prime modeling years during the 1980s and throughout her extended career, the celebrated celebrity, aged 59, was accustomed to daring photo sessions and has bared all on numerous occasions.
Now, we understand her kids Kaia, aged 23, and Presley, aged 26 (both born to her and her husband Rande Gerber) have shared their thoughts on the nude photos she’s been featured in.
In an episode of the “Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky” podcast, Cindy mentioned casually that she displays some aesthetically pleasing naked portraits of herself around her house.
She confessed that there were photos of her without clothes at home, which she hadn’t discussed with her children. Occasionally, one of them would remark casually, such as, “We thought it was usual for Mom to be naked.
She mentioned one artwork in her house that features a well-known image of myself along with Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Tatjana Patitza.

It seems we couldn’t find any striking images of my mother – it wasn’t as if she was making a grand entrance. We didn’t display such photos, but I can imagine my children might feel a bit shaken, much like many others their age might be.
In her own words, Cindy stated that becoming part of a family significantly altered her viewpoint towards participating in nude photo sessions. Consequently, she chose to abandon explicit content prior to her marriage to Rande in 1998 at the age of 32.
She clarified that she had stopped taking nude photos prior to our marriage, and as far as she is concerned, she hasn’t taken any more since then.
Later on, I was queried about it, but I honestly wondered: Is it possible that my nine-year-old child might be made fun of by his peers?
Throughout her multi-decade career marked by numerous nude photo shoots, Cindy openly confessed that there was one image she deeply regretted due to feeling coerced into its creation.
‘Every experience is a lesson, and that’s where we grow up – making those choices,’ she said.
I’ve taken many nude photos throughout my career. The only one I regret taking is the one I was persuaded to do. All other photographs, I made an informed decision about. I worked with Herb Ritts for Playboy on two separate occasions.
On one particular instance, she reflected, it’s a moment she regrets seeing things differently. She admitted, “I felt tricked into it. It’s the only incident I recall, and I was wounded.

She said, “That photo isn’t the most revealing one of me, but when I see it, I can tell exactly how I felt at that moment.
Alternatively, Cindy shared that she had always found a sense of comfort and absolute safety while collaborating with photographer Herb, who unfortunately passed away from pneumonia at the age of 50 in 2002.
After taking one photograph without clothing, others may assume I specialize in such images, but that’s not the case. The composition and emotional connection must align perfectly.
In simpler terms, “I need to be at ease. Being with Herb made me feel completely secure and never objectified. He viewed people as if they were buildings. Consequently, I was able to confide in him.
In simpler terms, ‘I’ve been in situations where I engaged with other men, but not everyone feels right for me, and there was someone who gave off a strange vibe. I found it hard to decline their advances or didn’t say no.’
Cindy is gearing up for her 60th birthday celebration in February, and she’s shared some details about her personal wellness habits.
Approximately twenty years back, she introduced the skincare line Meaningful Beauty in partnership with French doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh. She also shared her preferred products for preserving her radiant complexion.
She explained to People that when one feels self-assured and confident, they tend to carry themselves with a slightly elevated posture, and this is what others primarily perceive. Furthermore, she pointed out that a significant component in their product line is Charentais cantaloupe extract.

According to Cindy, she strongly endorses Meaningful Beauty’s sunscreen moisturizer due to its anti-aging benefits.
‘It melts into the skin, so it works great under makeup,’ she explained of the winning formula.
My aim is to simplify skincare for women, ensuring they have convenient access to top-quality ingredients from a single source.
2004 saw the initial introduction of Cindy and Sebagh’s line of products that improve skin health. In 2021, they added hair care products to their collection.
Cindy’s tagline on Instagram reveals her revolutionary method for achieving a more youthful appearance, both for your skin and hair.
She mentioned to People that many women wait until they notice signs of aging before they begin focusing on skin care, and this was also true for her when it came to hair.
