As a devoted follower of the Reeve family saga, I find myself deeply moved by the resilience and dedication shown by Will Reeve. Born into the shadow of his legendary father Christopher Reeve, yet carving out his own path in life, he embodies the true spirit of the Man of Steel.

Despite bearing a strong resemblance to his renowned actor father, Christopher Reeve, Will Reeve has no ambition to pursue a career as a prominent figure in Hollywood.

In an interaction this past week, Will expressed his enjoyment of his role as a correspondent at ABC News and Good Morning America, and mentioned candidly that he doesn’t possess the skills required for acting.

In a candid moment at the New York premiere of the film Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, Reeve, aged 32, openly shared his fondness for his position as a correspondent at ABC News.

‘I think I like, maybe, performing,’ the North Adams, Massachusetts native confessed.

‘But I don’t know if I’m any good at acting.’

Indeed, Superman was the topic that came up during our chat, and it’s worth noting that the new actor, David Corenswet, will be stepping into the role for the forthcoming Superman movie scheduled to hit screens in 2025.

Will expressed his opinion that the studio made an excellent choice by hiring David, a native of Philadelphia who has previously worked on shows like ‘The Politician’ from 2019 to 2020, and ‘Twisters,’ due out in 2024, for the renowned part.

31-year-old Corenswet has become the third actor to portray Superman on the silver screen, succeeding Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill in this iconic role.

In the forthcoming superhero movie, there’s a quick appearance by Will. However, the new Super/Man documentary focuses more on Will and his fellow siblings.

The doc covers Christopher’s early days in New York City as an up-and-coming actor, with his best friend Robin Williams all the way through to his tragic accident while taking part in an equestrian competition in Culpepper, Virginia in 1995 and the aftermath.

The narrative subsequently delves into the aftermath of his fall from the horse, which left him paralyzed, and its effects on his life with his wife Dana Reeve, whom he wedded three years prior to the incident.

In 1995, Will’s mother took on the role of his father’s main caretaker and continued to do so until his passing in October 2004. Throughout this time, she also remained a devoted mother to their three kids.

Following the accident, he actively advocated for studies on spinal injuries, encompassing human embryonic stem cell research, as well as improved health insurance policies for individuals living with disabilities.

He was actively involved in initiatives such as heading the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and jointly establishing the Reeve-Irvine Research Center.

Each child of Reeve sits on the board of directors for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Will expressed that his mother was perhaps one of the most extraordinary individuals to have lived on this planet. He went on to say, “She didn’t need to choose each morning to look after our family; it was simply a part of her very essence.

10 months after my husband’s passing in August 2005, I was struck with the heartbreaking news that I had contracted lung cancer, a disease I had never even smoked a cigarette for.

In the end, Dana passed away in March 2006 when she was 44 years old. This unfortunate event made Will and his other siblings lose both parents within a span of approximately 17 months.

At that moment, he acknowledged that he was entirely on his own, as he reminisced about those challenging times, he shared.
