As of now, the unnamed film is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2026.

According to a trustworthy insider, Gizmodo reports that Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film is expected to be set in the 1920s and revolve around vampires. However, Universal has not responded to their query regarding this rumor, so there’s no confirmation or denial at this time.

It would be exciting to witness Christopher Nolan direct a true-to-form horror movie. Although he has dabbled in horror genres with his critically acclaimed psychological thrillers, such as Memento, Insomnia, and The Prestige (a period piece), he hasn’t yet taken on a full-fledged horror project. A vampire film set in the 1920s could prove to be an exceptional choice for his debut into the horror genre.

Absolutely, there’s a chance the rumors could be off base, and Nolan might have a completely different concept up his sleeve. Given their history of tackling intense dramatic and action-packed roles, it’s possible this project will lean towards an action flick.
