Christine Quinn’s estranged husband Christian Richard gains legal win amid messy divorce battle
As a seasoned observer of human dynamics and relationships, I find myself deeply saddened by the public unraveling of Christian and Quinn’s marriage. Having spent years studying and reporting on similar situations, it’s clear that their journey is far from unique, but the emotional toll is undeniably personal for each individual involved.
In simpler terms, during the challenging process of their divorce proceedings, Christine Quinn’s former spouse, Christian Richard, secured a favorable court decision.
Previously of “Selling Sunset,” a woman aged 35 (who recently showcased her fashionable side at the Diesel catwalk event) has parted ways with her technology businessman partner, following his arrest at their Los Angeles residence in March on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
Following the unfortunate event, I swiftly sought and was granted a temporary protective order. Not long after, my former partner initiated divorce proceedings in early April.
In their recent developments following their divorce, a judge in Los Angeles has allowed Richard (also recognized as Christian Dumontet) to undergo a mental health diversion program for his ongoing legal case, as reported by Us Weekly.
According to a reliable source, it’s been revealed that he needs to participate in a year-long course of therapy, perform community service work, and repay any damages as part of his plan moving forward.
If Christian continues to receive positive appraisals and updates throughout the year, there’s a potential chance that his minor offense case might be dismissed.
According to court records obtained by Us Weekly, Quinn appeared in court towards the end of September (on the 24th), where they disputed the judge’s decision.
In a heartfelt plea, the TV personality opposed Richard’s appeal for a mental health diversion, using a victim impact statement to express her feelings.
Her lawyer additionally submitted papers in the family law lawsuit, detailing several supposed instances where Christian was said to have breached temporary restraining orders.
Following the judge’s decision to allow Quinn’s mental health diversion, he is nonetheless required to maintain a distance from Christine under the Temporary Restraining Order. Their court date for further proceedings has been scheduled for January 28, 2025.
Additionally, the reality TV personality has asserted that her separated spouse contacted certain relatives of hers, such as her own father.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it this way: Richard, according to my sources, requested a straightforward, amiable chat with me that could potentially transform our relationship drastically for the better.
After appearing in court on September 24, it was alleged that Quinn got a mysterious text message from an anonymous ‘disposable’ phone within just five minutes. The content of the message read: “Relax.
Jacqueline Sparagna, Christine’s lawyer, expressed to Us Weekly following the court decision, “We fervently hope that Mr. Dumontet makes use of this chance to seek the assistance he evidently requires for his well-being.
In response to Quinn’s assertions, Richard’s attorney, Alexandra Kazarian, made a statement to Us Weekly, saying, “Once again, the extent of Ms. Quinn’s delusions is evident.
Her continuous, baseless accusations persist, and her questionable reliability becomes more apparent when considered alongside the extraordinary announcement made by the LAPD, stating that her allegations about her hotel room being bugged and spying by Christian were unjustified.
Kazarian noted, “In truth, Ms. Quinn had full financial and personal autonomy throughout the marriage, with monthly expenses reaching as high as $30,000 that were funded by him.
She’s currently dealing with a divorce that wasn’t covered by a prenuptial agreement, which means she has to return the joint assets worth millions that she earned during the marriage.
Back in August, Christian had filed a request to drop the temporary restraining order against him.
He requested the court, through papers acquired by Page Six, to revoke the ruling that granted Christine exclusive access to their shared Hollywood Hills home, which was previously a part of their marriage.
The reason for his request was due to getting, ‘a utility bill in excess of $10,000.’
Additionally, he asserted that he has been levied with daily penalties by the Los Angeles Vector Control starting on July 18, 2024, due to his property remaining abandoned and neglected.
In a court document, it was mentioned that Quinn’s former partner has been fined ‘thousands of dollars’, yet is unable to rectify the problems because he is barred from accessing the Los Angeles residence.
He asserted that he’s attempted to reach out to Quinn through his legal team, but hasn’t received a response yet.
Beyond the $10,000 monthly utility expense, Christian is asking Quinn to return $29,000 every month for the house’s worth in rent, plus the cost of the expensive Hermes handbags he purchased while they were married.
In a statement made through an email, Alexandra Kazarian (his attorney) mentioned in court documents, as reported by Page Six, ‘Mr. Dumontet is requesting Compensatory Damages to cover the cost of Hermes bags he bought with his separate funds, which were purchased as investment items on your client’s advice.’
The real estate agent’s own legal team has denied the $10,000 water bill claims.
According to Quinn’s lawyer, there’s neither water damage nor any immediate crisis at the residence. Instead, it appears to be an overdue LADWP (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power) bill that has gone unpaid for several months.
Since last September, there’s been a continuous issue with water leaks, stemming from when a pipe ruptured and filled the basement with water.
In March, Christian was seen standing outside his home in handcuffs following an arrest for the alleged incident where he reportedly threw a bag filled with broken glass, striking his son.
Yet, upon his return to Los Angeles, the previously retired tech entrepreneur faced arrest again for breaching the terms of his restraining order.
According to TMZ’s report, he asserted that no hitting took place against their son, instead stating that a disagreement ensued due to their dogs soiling some of his possessions.
Christian asserted that he discarded a pile of waste and flung it against a structure, however, neither his spouse nor child were harmed in the process.
In April, the former star of Selling Sunset received a temporary restraining order against Christian. A short while after this, he initiated a divorce proceeding and also asked for full custody of their son.
In the following month, he faced formal accusations for misdemeanor child abuse, assault, and disregarding a protective order.
Come June, I found myself packing up treasured possessions like my precious Louis Vuitton and Hermès bags and trinkets from our shared abode.
Despite the messy divorce, the TV personality has been keeping busy and recently attended the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards in Milan last month.
Additionally, she wore a torn, blue denim corset top paired with corresponding trousers when she visited the Diesel catwalk event during Milan Fashion Week.
