Christine McGuinness reveals she’s been ‘dating a mystery partner since June’ and admits she will ‘never marry again’ after split from husband Paddy

36-year-old model parted ways with her 50-year-old spouse, Paddy, in the year 2022. She confessed that she has no intentions of tying the knot again following her divorce, despite the split being peaceful.

In the recent past, I’m grateful to say that my partner and I managed to steer clear of a protracted legal dispute, despite our strong bond and shared household with our lovely children – Leo, Penelope, and Felicity, ages 10, 7, and 7 respectively.

Speaking openly, Christine disclosed the time she came across her unique new acquaintance, expressing that she has never felt as tranquil as she does now.

She started saying, “I encountered them on my birthday, introduced by mutual acquaintances. We’ve been together since June. This person is familiar to me. At first, I didn’t have any specific thoughts about it, but we stayed connected and it’s just so easy-going and enjoyable.

The TV host remarked, “What’s been astonishing is the absence of labels, as Paddy hasn’t had a chance to meet them yet. We’re still in the initial stages.

Over the course of our long-term, public relationship, I’ve been contemplating my feelings and now I’m unsure if I prefer it to remain public. I’ve grown accustomed to this kind of partnership and it has been pleasant, but I wonder what it would be like to have a more private connection instead.

‘I’ve been really open and honest from the beginning about where I’m at and they’re ok with that.

As a connoisseur of life’s finer moments, I must confess that I often find myself surrounded by vibrant companionship. Time alone is scarce, yet, when it presents itself, it’s nothing short of delightful. The laughter that fills these solitary moments is abundant and heartwarming.

Previously this past week, the model shared a set of photos, among them were two capturing her and her music-and-fashion friend DJ Roxxxan, aged 33, appearing cozy. This followed their shared vacation in Spain.

Talking about being unattached once more, Christine mentioned: “I’ve successfully steered clear of dating throughout my life. I’ve never used any dating apps and neither did I date as a teenager. All my romantic relationships have been with people I already knew.

To truly embrace joy and contentment, I found it essential to learn to appreciate myself first. This self-love paves the way for any journey ahead, as it’s all about the experience.

‘Whether it goes good or bad, I always know that I’m fine on my own.’

She went on to explain: “Given my emotions have led me here, I’ve reached a point where I feel confident enough to admit that I am currently in a relationship.

For an extended period, I abstained from romantic relationships. Reflecting on this phase, I believe that being alone granted me a sense of self-sufficiency, reinforcing my understanding that I can thrive independently. This solitude was crucial for me to grow and prepare myself for future endeavors.

Two years back, Christine parted ways with her former spouse, Paddy, and recently announced that she’s been seeing someone new.

She mentioned that due to his heavy workload, he’s often away from home, yet they manage to connect wonderfully well. They recognize the importance of working together as a team, especially for their kids’ sake.

I’ve never been as tranquil as I am now. It wasn’t until recently that I realized just how unstable my nervous system had been. There was always a certain restlessness, a sense of unease within me. Much of it stemmed from the apprehension of change.

This year is the first time I’ve felt comfortable with the alterations after my divorce. In essence, it seems as though I’ve been living independently all along, since Patrick spends most of his time at work. Therefore, whenever he’s not around, I know I can handle things on my own.

He’s a fantastic father, very involved at home and exceptionally skilled in his role. He’s an outstanding caretaker but it requires a significant effort. I’m the consistent presence at home for our children.

In our relationship, we’ve never experienced a disagreement that escalates into an argument. Instead, we engage in deep, demanding discussions. However, arguing is not something I do or feel comfortable with. Our bond is well-balanced, and when he is at home, I can confidently take a short break without feeling guilty because it’s his quality time with the children.

Every day, I find myself flooded with messages from couples grappling with separation. They turn to me, seeking guidance, and my answer is always the same: prioritize your children above all else, regardless of the past. After all, as their parent, they hold the highest place in our lives.

At the Paul Shrank Charity Gala held at The Royal Garden Hotel, Christine shared her thoughts about not remarrying in the future.

She confessed: “I honestly can’t see it that way. As for myself, I’ve already been through the grand wedding ceremony. I never thought marriage would come to an end, but if it does, one moves on. However, going through it makes me less inclined to consider marriage again.

Despite our friendly separation, there have been moments that have been truly exhausting and difficult. Managing to put on a happy face each day for the sake of our children is no easy task.

As a music enthusiast who has had the pleasure of attending countless concerts and events, I must say that spending a night out with musician Roxxxan was truly an unforgettable experience. Having traveled to various parts of the world to immerse myself in different cultures and music scenes, I can confidently say that this particular evening in Spain was one for the books. Not only did I get to enjoy the enchanting melodies and captivating performances that Roxxxan is known for, but also I had the privilege of getting to know her on a more personal level.

Initially sparking speculation about a romantic connection when they shared a warm and intimate footsie photo with the ‘tomboy’ artist Roxxxan, the model appeared more joyful than at any other time.

On Tuesday, Christine posted a collection of recent photos on Instagram, which featured two shots capturing moments from her nights out with a DJ during the previous weeks.

She captioned the post: ‘Life lately Camera roll from the last couple of weeks. So much more to catch up. I’ll update more soon’. 

It comes she posted a snap playing footsie with Roxxxan on their holiday abroad. 

Describing various aspects of the breathtaking seaside scenery, she penned: ‘Arrived at heaven on earth. I’ll share more about this idyllic spot with you later.’
