Christine McGuinness has talked about how she’s been feeling since separating from her husband, Paddy. She’s admitted that being single can be lonely sometimes.
The 37-year-old model and TV personality, who finalized her divorce from the 52-year-old presenter of Top Gear last year after 11 years of marriage, recently opened up about getting used to life on her own.
Christine shared that she’s still figuring things out as she gets back into dating and explores her sexuality. She described the last year as a time for personal growth and understanding herself better.
The mother of three, who considers herself open-minded and has been attracted to people of all genders since she was a teenager, has said that she isn’t concerned with someone’s gender when choosing a partner.
Earlier this year, she joined the reality show Celebs Go Dating hoping to meet someone new and start dating again.
However midway through filming she quit the show as she wanted to ‘go home to her children.’

Christine recently shared how difficult dating has been, even though she’s been actively trying to meet someone, and remains single.
During Wednesday’s Attitude awards in London, she told The Sun that she finds it difficult because she really wants to be in a relationship.
I often feel lonely, and I think that’s why I find social events difficult, particularly the ones I’ve attended recently. I’ve really had a hard time at them.
She explained that there’s a moment when you just feel like giving up and going home, but it’s a truly enjoyable experience if you’re with someone you care about.
While appearing on Celebs Go Dating, Christine unexpectedly shared details about problems in her marriage with her ex-husband, Paddy. She explained that their relationship fell apart because trust was lost.
Looking back, it’s funny how things change! I first met my ex-husband when he was just starting out – he wasn’t the public figure he is today. I was really young, only nineteen, and I was working as a model at the time. We actually met at an event I was modeling at – it feels like a lifetime ago!
‘My ex-husband was there, someone introduced us. We had a laugh and kept in touch.’
Oh my gosh, when they asked me if I had a thing for Paddy, I totally admitted it! I mean, yes! I *did*! He just had this incredible cheeky charm, you know? And honestly, he just made me laugh so much. It was amazing!

She also described meeting Paddy as ‘perfect timing’ and said it was ‘an easy relationship.’
The pair, who wed in 2011, have three children – twins Leo and Penelope, as well as Felicity.
The experts followed up by asking Christine about the split, and she explained, ‘People make mistakes, but I believe the real issue was a loss of trust.’
I will always love him. He’s the father of my children, and I truly believe he’s my one true love.
Everyone makes mistakes, but when you’re a public couple, those mistakes become very visible to everyone.
