Christina Hall’s Shocking Split: Tarek El Moussa Knew Before She Dumped Josh Hall!
Christina Hall has shared more back story on her split from third husband Josh Hall.
On a Wednesday, the home improvement expert expressed that she hadn’t taken her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa by surprise when she ended things with Hall.
This stems from the existing tension on the set of their reality TV show, Flip Off, featuring Christina, Josh, her former partner Tarek, and his spouse Heather Rae El Moussa.
Prior to the debut of her latest series, The Flip Off, on January 29, Hall openly discussed her breakup with Josh in conversations with others.
Tarek and Heather seemed to sense that Christina wasn’t too fond of Josh, as she put it herself. When asked about the matter, Christina stated that she had previously discussed this with both Tarek and Heather.
The mother from Orange County, California remarked that they recognized challenges needed addressing regarding working with Josh, and it was essential for everyone to discuss our approach, given the existing complications.
‘So they weren’t surprised. And they were also very, very supportive,’ she noted.
Initially, Christina and Tarek collaborated on the popular HGTV show “Flip or Flop.” Throughout the series, they transformed houses as they simultaneously took care of their 14-year-old daughter, Taylor, and 9-year-old son, Brayden.
In 2016, they parted ways following seven years of being married. However, they continued to collaborate professionally on the Flip or Flop project up until its discontinuation in 2022.
The “Flip Off” event was initially unveiled in May 2024, with the initial lineup including Christina, Josh, Tarek, Heather, along with other specialists.
But Josh, 44, filed for divorce in July 2024 after three years of marriage.
That left Christina without a partner on Flip Off as Tarek, 43, was paired with spouse Heather, 37.
When asked if spending a night alone prompted her to depart from the show, Christina told People, “Not really. I had a feeling something like this was going to transpire.
Christina says making The Flip Off helped with the heartbreak.
‘It definitely was a distraction,’ she told the site.
I’m glad we did it, as it helped alleviate the stress. The show was tense for multiple reasons beyond just our working relationship. Frankly, renovating a house at such speed is something I rarely do anymore. Thus, I believe it served as an effective diversion.
Besides her current series, she also hosts “Christina by the Sea” that debuted in 2019, and “Christina in Rural Settings,” which came out in 2023.
Or more colloquially:
Apart from the show she’s currently working on, she’s got two others – “Christina by the Ocean” that started in 2019, and “Christina in the Sticks,” which aired in 2023.
In the series debut, Josh is present, but subsequently misses appearances. Instead, she consults with her group of specialists for assistance.
When Josh initiated the divorce proceedings, he sought financial assistance by asking for spousal maintenance from his glamorous wife.
The two have bickered over finances publicly.
Meanwhile, Christina and Josh have each found new partners: Christina is dating businessman Christopher Larocca, while Josh is in a relationship with model Stephanie Gabrys.
The Flip Off airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
