Christina Hall says it would be a ‘genius’ ratings ploy to swap Joshua Hall for ex Ant Anstead (who is now dating Renee Zellweger) on new show The Flip Off
As a dedicated follower of reality TV and a long-time observer of the rollercoaster ride that is Christina Hall’s love life, I find myself captivated by her latest twist. The idea of swapping out her estranged husband Joshua for her ex-husband Ant Anstead on ‘The Flip Off’ might just be a genius move to boost ratings, as suggested by one fan.
Originally, Christina Hall (formerly known as Christina Anstead) along with her separated spouse Joshua Hall, were scheduled to compete against her former partner Tarek El Moussa and his spouse Heather Rae El Moussa on the upcoming reality TV series titled ‘The Flip Off’.
Given that Christina has divorced Joshua, it appears she might be considering replacing her third husband with an alternative former partner instead.
41-year-old TV personality from HGTV playfully suggested that her second husband, Ant Anstead, 45, might take over for Joshua in their upcoming show instead.
A supporter suggested an intriguing notion on Instagram, commenting: ‘Wouldn’t it be fantastic if Ant took over for Josh in the Flip Off show? The ratings would skyrocket! If this comes to pass, I want some acknowledgment. Laugh out loud.’
Hall, who is in the midst of divorcing Joshua, called the idea a ‘genius’ ratings ploy.
‘LOL that would be a genius “ratings” idea just sayin,’ Hall responded.
In a new show that HGTV started advertising recently, titled “The Flip Off”, the duo of Christina and Joshua will go head-to-head against Christina’s former husband Tarek El Moussa and his spouse Heather El Moussa in a real estate competition.
Following Christina and Joshua’s separation, a source revealed to Us Weekly on July 17 that Joshua will no longer participate in the series. Instead, they are planning to proceed with the show without his involvement.
As a diehard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the love story of Christina and Ant Anstead! Before they became husband and wife, they dated for a whole year, deepening their bond. In the chilly winter of 2018, they chose their beautiful home in Newport Beach, California as the venue for their fairy-tale wedding. The nuptials were themed around winter, making their special day even more enchanting!
The previous pair is the proud parents of their four-year-old son, Hudson London Anstead, whom they welcomed on September 6, 2019.
In the month of November, 2020, Christina initiated a divorce process from Ant Anstead, a popular British television figure. Their divorce was officially completed in June of 2021.
Since June 2021, he has been romantically involved with actress Renee Zellweger, and more recently, he paid a visit to her while she was filming Bridget Jones 4 in Hampstead.
The comment comes as Christina followed her ex Ant on Instagram again.
On Wednesday morning, Anstead was among the 74 accounts that Christina chose to follow, but it was not the case that Christina was among the 396 accounts that Anstead was following.
On July 15, it was reported that Christina initiated the legal process for a divorce from Joshua, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason behind their separation, which occurred on July 7, based on court documents.
Besides Hudson, Christina is also the mom to 13-year-old daughter Taylor Reese El Moussa and 8-year-old son Brayden James El Moussa, who she had during her previous marriage with El Moussa.
In April 2022, Anstead aimed to secure sole legal custody of their child, however, his request was declined since both he and Christina hold shared custody of their son.
In the context of legal proceedings, Anstead asked that Hudson should not appear in advertisements across Christina’s social media platforms.
After separating from Anstead, Christina became engaged to Hall in September 2021. They tied the knot in Maui in April 2022, as reported by US Weekly.
The U.S. reports that Hall has filed for separation from Christina and requested alimony, but Christina has not made such a request yet.
Christina posted on Instagram Stories on July 25: ‘Instead of the usual PR talk about being caught off guard and focusing on self-improvement and healing at her ranch, I’m choosing a different approach today – I’m no longer as polite and quiet as I once was.’
I’ve put immense effort into creating the life I have now for myself and my kids, and anyone who attempts to seize what isn’t rightfully theirs or what they haven’t earned should feel embarrassed. Even an arrogant man with an inflated ego can make an attempt to disrupt me, but I stand tall – “yet I continue to rise.”
She added that ‘divorces do not happen overnight’ noting that ‘there is always a breaking point.’
