Sailor Brinkley-Cook looked sensational as she struck sexy poses in the Caribbean over the weekend.
The 26-year-old model displayed her fit physique in a small blue bikini while enjoying time on a white sand beach, as seen in photos she posted to Instagram.
Christie Brinkley’s daughter, 71, confidently displayed her fit physique, showing off both her toned stomach and sculpted rear.
Christie posed in similar fashion for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition back in February 1981, while in Florida – almost five decades ago.
This proves once again that Sailor is following in her mother’s pinup footsteps with her career.
Sailor is Christie Brinkley’s youngest child, and people say she resembles her mother the most. Her father is Peter Cook, and they were married from 1996 to 2008.
Christie has two other children with two different men.
She has two children: Alexa Ray Joel, age 40, from her marriage to Billy Joel (1985-1994), and Jack Paris Cook, age 30, from her marriage to Richard Taubman (1994-1995).
Sailor has been open about her struggles with body dysmorphia over the years.
In a 2020 interview on Good Morning America, she shared that she felt unworthy of praise or celebration unless she was thin.
She shared that she’s been really struggling with self-image, explaining she often feels disgusted with herself when she looks in the mirror. This happens even over small things, like a slight roll of fat on her stomach.
Sailor shared that her mom wasn’t aware of how much she was struggling during a difficult time, explaining she was fifteen years old when she first began dealing with an eating disorder.
She described looking at famous models—the ones who are very thin, with small waists and legs—and feeling overwhelmed.
I noticed how much attention and admiration they received – everyone loved them, all the boys wanted to be with them, and they had this incredible life as a young model. I wanted that same kind of attention and success for myself.
And she felt confident at the height of her eating disorder because of how thin she was.
‘I remember feeling so happy with myself because I had a thigh gap,’ she recalled.
