Christian life coach launches bizarre vile attack on Tammy Hembrow: ‘You are twisted and you need help’

Tammy Hembrow faced criticism from a life coach after revealing she signed up for the dating app, Tinder.

A TikTok video posted this weekend featured life coach Trai Wallis criticizing the 31-year-old influencer.

Wallis, who describes himself on TikTok as someone who encourages self-improvement, publicly criticized Hembrow and told her she should turn to religion.

“I’ve had enough of this,” Wallis started in the video. “Tammy Hembrow, you’re the most popular female influencer in Australia, and likely one of the biggest globally.”

He went on to criticize someone for promoting an app that encourages harmful and exploitative behavior – specifically, pressuring men to pursue casual sexual encounters and depicting degrading acts. He found this particularly hypocritical given the person was a mother of three children with two different fathers.

What happened to your sense of right and wrong? You’ve really lost your way chasing money.

Wallis continued, ‘Here’s what I’m proposing: you live on the Gold Coast, and so does my church. I’d like you to join me this Sunday, let me pray with you, and experience God’s presence.’

You’re the one who really needs support right now. You’ve been struggling for a while, and it’s clear you need help to get back on track.

The video, which has been viewed over 489,000 times, drew mixed reactions in the comments section.

One person expressed disapproval of mothers dating after having children, saying they hoped it wouldn’t happen. Another person shared they’d prefer to find a partner through a dating app like Tinder rather than at a church.

Another person spoke up, saying she was a single mom raising three children all by herself. They called her incredibly admirable and added that her actions didn’t align with the teachings of Jesus.

One person questioned if using dating apps meant someone lacked morals. Another responded with disbelief, saying everyone is allowed to date and use apps, and the initial comment was extreme.

People shouldn’t be so quick to criticize, especially when it involves putting someone down like that,” one person commented. Another pointed out, “While I don’t support her ad, it’s unfair to ignore the fact that Bailey Smith did a similar one.”

Tammy announced that she has partnered with Tinder for a campaign last week.

Okay, so I’m officially putting myself out there again! I’ve decided it’s time for a new dating chapter, and you know what that means? I’m on Tinder, swiping and hoping to find someone special. I actually filmed a quick video about it from my car – I was keeping it casual in a simple white tee, and just wanted to share the news!

I always seem to be in the news when it comes to dating, but I wanted you to hear it directly from me: I’m starting to date again.

Tammy seemed to refer to her short relationship with Australian rules footballer Bailey Smith, 24, when she said, ‘I think people often make dating too serious – it should be enjoyable!’

I’m using Tinder to see what kind of people are around. I’m hoping to connect with someone I really click with, and maybe something romantic will happen, but I’m open to anything.

I absolutely loved the way she ended that Tinder ad! It said, ‘If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it. Go find your next crush on Tinder too.’ It’s just so clever and encouraging – like, what are you waiting for?!

Tammy split from husband Matt Zukowski in June.

Matt, 30, and Tammy got engaged in December 2023 after just three months of dating.

They got married in November 2024, but less than a year later, in June 2025, they announced they were getting a divorce.
